Booooooring
Jan. 19th, 2006 10:21 pmWork was slow as molasses (on the plus side I came the closest I ever have to solving a level-4 sudoku). And I basically web-browsed this afternoon. Don't worry boys, I worked on "Dusky Past," "Boy Genius," and "V.D."
-VD: Glad to hear it.-
-TD: Doesn't look like you're written anything new on my story.-
I'm in a slow spot at the moment, so I'm doing some chapter one editing.
-TD: Ahh, I see.-
-M2: When does "V.D." start going up on the webpage?-
Soon I hope -- I'm going through and making trivia notes as I rewrite. I also think next up will be "Best Friends Forever." Well, in multi-chapter -- in one-shots "New Beginnings" will be up.
-TD: *beam* LOVE the invention you gave me.-
-H: Yeah, that was cool. Still think I should have used a bit of magic to make firework shapes though.-
Hmmm, idea for a future edit.
The most exciting thing I've done today is get the "Shrek 2" soundtrack -- I really liked a few of the songs in the movie, so I decided to get the darn thing. We had gone up to see if we could get Mom's birthday present (her birthday is on the 27th) -- she wants a copy of "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" on DVD. Personally, I'm looking forward to getting this -- she loves the old movie, and I get to watch all the featurettes. :p
-D: Tad selfish of you.-
Mom won't mind. *evil grin* I'd get her the NEW one as a joke along with the old one, but I didn't like the new one enough to purchase it. Although I did like "Charlie" -- "Willy Wonka" is more bright and musical, while "Charlie" is dark and twisted. *imagines the Wonkas duelling with their canes*
-OD: Your mind goes to odd places sometimes.-
Yeah, I know. And I have to say, the songs from both rock.
Speaking of movies, I believe I should watch the Trilogy again -- as I was looking up "Willy Wonka" I realized I've never listened to the commentaries on Part III! And I don't even REMEMBER the commentary from II. *needs to arrange some sort of marathon*
-DW: Hey, a weekend is coming up.-
Yes, but there's the small matter of football -- unless we don't have a game Saturday. Hmmmm. I also need to reread all the Girl Genius I currently have. And plan on buying more.
-D: O.o This is a real addiction for you.-
It's a great series! And you know me and books. Here's what I'm planning to get:
-->Second collection softcover (I do have the comics that make this up -- however, I want to have a matching set of collections, and I want the extra Trelawney Thorpe story)
-->Fourth collection softcover (this contains the only print comic I don't have -- 13 -- and some of the web ones)
-->Girl Genius Secret Blueprints (out of print, but tracking one down online shouldn't be too hard)
-->Girl Genius GURPS (GURPS is a universal role playing system created by Steve Jackson games. Kaja mentions working on this in her LiveJournal, and I think it's coming out this year)
-DW: I can already SEE the hordes of drawing bunnies.-
-OD: *beam* Won't it be great?-
-D: I'm not sure -- it takes attention away from us and our stories.-
-M: No it doesn't, she's still writing BTTF stuff.-
That's right. I'm never ever gonna get over BTTF. :)
-TD: Hey, anything that inspires more inventions is okay with me.-
-D: That's right? How much do you need to buy all this?-
*snork* Some of it isn't out yet. I'll give you a price check on the blueprints though.
