crossover_chick | Can I Get a Do-Over?

Work today was slow again -- where have all the customers gone, I wonder? Perhaps they have all fled RI in general.
-D: I would love to follow them at the first available opportunity.-
You and me both. My new extra two hours dragged on by. And I got some extra annoyances when I left --
a) I went up to the bank to deposit my last paycheck (I got it on Saturday, but I worked the bank's hours then) only to discover they were closed (for the love of cheescake, people want to BANK AFTER 3)
b) I had to walk round-trip back after realizing that I'd forgotten my house keys.
So now I have a nice blister on the bottom of my foot. *grumble*
-VD: Yet another advantage of flight. Thanks for deciding we should mutate wings.-
-OD: I dunno, I think tentacle-travel is just as good. Don't your wings ache after a while?-
-VD2: Sometimes, but don't your back muscles get tired too? I mean, they do move with the tentacles, right?-
-OD: Good point.-
-TD: I like my hoverboard -- simple, gets the job done, requires a minimum of effort.-
-M: Yeah, you just have to know how to keep your balance.-
-D: Which is harder than it looks.-
-TD: Hey, I managed to pick it up.-
-D: Yes, but you're younger, and your hoverboard has a footstrap.-
-VuM: Me, I like the wing harness. All I really have to move are my thumbs.-
-VM: Landing takes a bit of getting used to though, huh?-
-VuM: I crashed once.-
Well, I don't MIND walking, I just don't like to be in pain while I'm doing it.

Working more on "Boy Genius," so far response is positive for that. The chapters are looking to be about "Eight Arms to Hold You" sized -- chapter one is 10 pages.

Yeah, I know. I'm half-tempted to call the chapters "issues" instead, like a comic book.
-DW: Hey, I don't mind -- you keep coming up with new invention plotbunnies!-
LoL, yeah, I figured you'd like those.
-DW: Most delicious things I've ever tasted.-
Yeah. So far I've come up with:
-->A flame-throwing sword
-->A Marty-waking-up device that yanks the covers (or Marty) off the bed
-->An automatic dishwasher that consists of mechanical hands washing the dishes in the sink, then a hot-air-blowing drainer to dry them
-->A hoverboard that's actually a small hovercraft with a small steam engine
-->A shrink ray (that's in "Goggles")
I'd claim Fetch and Spinbot, but really, TeenDoc came up with those two.

Me too. Also wrote some more on "BTTX-2." Yay for progress.
