Ugh, Brain Full
Feb. 24th, 2006 11:18 pmFan fiction was a bust today. I'll be better tomorrow, I promise.
-D: I don't understand why you're having so much trouble concentrating.-
Me either -- I guess I'm just in a slow period in general. I hate it. :(
-OD: Try fan art.-
-DW: Better yet, clear out a few of these plot bunnies and focus on what you're actually writing.-
Hey, plot bunny clearing is YOUR job.
-DW: *sticks out tongue* My stomach has reached full capacity. Unless you intend to borrow
martyfan's Clock Killer Fox. . . .-
Maybe I could call in GypsyFox.
-DW: *grin* That works too.-
Did a day of Hill Valley Sims -- today was Martina's birthday party! She's now a kidling, and reminding me that I really need to start time again for the rest of the Hill Valley houses. Things are starting to look kinda weird with Marty and Jules and Verne all as teenagers.
-M: Yeah, I know. Gotta send me off to college already.-
I know, I know. Doc started off the day by unclogging the toilet -- the poor guy gets stuck with a lot of housework duty lately.

Clara was the next to wake up, then the boys (Martina was up all night and thus napped through the morning). After sharing a flirt with Doc, Clara prepared a pancake breakfast.

Then it was time for the boys to go to school. Clara took the day off work, as my plan was to have Martina grow up right after Jules and Verne got home from school. I had her spend her time finishing her studying (she needed one last Cleaning point) and being tutored by Doc on the Biotech station. Made a nice batch of medicine too.

Verne won the Spelling Bee and got a Logic Point before coming home. Each of the boys also brought home a friend -- Jules Sophie, Verne Orlando. Verne pretty much ignored Orlando, but Jules and Sophie had a nice conversation.

Doc invited Marty over, and it was time for a birthday. Of course, the best laid plans of mice and men go awry -- Doc did end up missing his carpool. I think it might be time to spring for a car (and a garage/home business for "Open For Business"). But no matter! Martina has grown up!

And unfortunately she doesn't look all that hot to me. :(
-D: Hey, that's our DAUGHTER you're talking about.-
-VD2: And YOU'RE the one who designed our faces for this neighborhood.-
Yeah, and I admit that I made the noses way too wide. I guess she isn't too bad, just a little chunky-faced it seems. A new hairstyle helped a little.

Have to change her clothes later, though -- in fact, all of the kids could probably use new wardrobes. *makes a note of that*
Everyone had a good time at the "party" -- Verne congratulated Clara, Marty and Clara had a nice chat, and Jules and Martina bonded some more.

I also had Doc look for a new job on the computer -- and score! Pocket Watch Winder was available!
-M: All right!-
Yes -- however, pay is down to 15 simoleons a day.
-TD: Bah, we didn't invent the time machine for financial reasons.-
-D: Won't I end up unemployed though? You have to take out downloads for a new expansion pack?-
Yes, you probably will be unemployed when I put in OfB. As soon as I know that Time Travel's ready for OfB, though, you can go straight back to work.

Jules and Verne eventually ended up watching TV as Martina took a nap, Clara cleared out the visitors, and Doc did some work on the Biotech.

Jules then got a call from Marsha -- he has a want to host a party, so I might do that the next time I play these guys. He also decided to read a Romance novel for fun. :p

Most of the family finally headed for bed as the sun went down. Jules and Verne stayed up for a while, though, to finish off the cake and do homework/earn skills.

I saved with most of the family asleep -- Doc had gotten up early, so I sent him to the easel and saved.
-OD: Doesn't sound like too bad a day -- and finally, one of us in the Time Travel career! I certainly do hope it's compatible with Open for Business.-
Me too. Of course, you'll sell craftables on the side. And I'm still hoping for saleable Aspiration Rewards.
-J: I think I know your problem, you're focusing on Sims instead of fanfic.-
Might have a point. *pokes self to go back to writing*
