-OD: The vest looks a little thin to us -- it's possible you could pull it off, though. So if you really want the vest, go for it. *tentacles nodnod*-
Okay then. I'll see if I can make it look a little better before I commit to anything, though.
New Chapter of Boy Genius Up! Emmett's day from Hell.
-TD: Must I have a day from Hell?-
If you want to Break Through, yes. And bear in mind, things just get crazier in the upcoming chapters.
-H: He's a Spark, I'm a Spark, and there's the whole family tree mess you created. Things cannot HELP but get crazier.-
True.
-E: Have you figured out your problems with the Strumhaulten scenes?-
I believe I have -- at least, it's clearer now than it was before. And that's always good, right?
-TD: Of course -- this is our LIVES you're talking about.-
Right. :)
After the monstrosity of yesterday and the new OfB patchness, I decided to unwind with a small family in Strangetown today. Ariana Roase was the kind recipient of my attention. I promptly had her watch her TV to get up her cooking skill.

I also got her photobooth photos off the floor. Now, this is odd. The first time I got the photobooth photos off the floor, they had turned into flashing blue non-pictures. However, for both TOP's Jennifer Parker and now Ariana, I've been able to retrieve the photos without a problem. They look fine.

The only difference I know of is that I saved after visiting Holly and John but before I got the pictures off the floor. Hmmm. Well, at least this means perhaps only one family lost their photos -- and they're rather easily replaceable at that.
Anyway, Ari watched TV, then had breakfast and prepared for a day on the town. I decided to use her as a test to take the car out to a community lot, and chose Bluewater Village's Simoleon Aracade.

She had a decent enough time there -- she played a computer game as the townies and Townie-Playables (basically the premade families) swarmed in, then started engaging people in conversation.

A couple of heartsbubble moments -- I had Ariana "scope room" after seeing some lightning bolt icons on interactions for Stephen Tinker. Gilbert Jacquet ended up lighting up. Swoon all you want, Ari, but he's Romance. You're promised to Jim anyway.

Stephen Tinker, for his part, apparently has a thing for everyone's favorite florist, Miss DellaRosa.

After taking a moment to watch some TV and have a pee break, Ari headed back home to play darts.

Lunch was also in the offing -- this picture mostly included to show her clothing detail. Ahh, OfB, thank you for showing me my video card can actually handle this stuff.

Ariana also called up Mr. Big for a chat -- he called back later, after she'd napped a while. Before her nap, though, she met the passing Doc Brown. They didn't hit it off, though, and as she was tired, I had her say goodbye.

The rest of the afternoon was basically spent building up a few skills. Ariana's a free spirit and thus needs some work in that regard.

All in all, a nice, normal day. And I no longer fear taking the car out for a spin -- so bring on the Doc/Gypsy date!
*Docs cheer*
-D: About time.-
I know. I'll do it after her next semester or two though -- I have to do a bit of house cycling first.
-M: Not a problem, we know you'll get to it eventually.-
-DW: And that you'll give us every last single detail. ;)-
Hey, I didn't realize at the time I was snapping FIFTY-SEVEN pictures!
Two more sims-related notes:
-->New icons over at
revison_doc! I replaced the three crappiest-looking with new, nicer ones from my most recent playing session. I especially like my new default. :D
-->Finally, my party stats have been raised! With Julia's birthday, I could invite 8 people. Perhaps my computer is not so crappy at playing the Sims after all.
-VD: How goes the rest of your fanfic?-
I'm giving you some edit time right now.
-M2: Great. Been a while, hasn't it?-
I know, I know. Other fanfiction duties.
-DW: Speaking of which, I notice a distinct lack of plot bunnies for the current
backtothefanfic challenge.-
*shrug* Not feeling really inspired. I have a vague bunny involving William McFly vs. Elias Von Braun, but I don't think anything's going to come of it. I'm focusing on "V.D.," "Boy Genius," and "BTTX-2" right now.
-VD2: And "Dusky Past."-
-OD: And the puppet pals.-
Those too.
And now my wrist is starting to hurt, so I should go.
Okay then. I'll see if I can make it look a little better before I commit to anything, though.
