On The "Write" Track
Apr. 14th, 2006 10:27 pmGot a nice addition to "V.D." out this afternoon, concerning Doc discovering his wings.
-VD: Much appreciated.-
-M2: Yeah, thanks. Almost up to chapter six now.-
Yup, so plodding along slowly but steadily.
-VD2: Which doesn't bode much good for "World of Darkness."-
That story's a fricking monster, VampDoc2. That's going to take time even if I work on it every day.
-VM: And we all know that won't happen.-
Sowwy. I'll try to be better about the editing.
-VD: It's fine -- now that we have a muse story, I can afford to poke you less about that.-
Ahh, true. DocWolf, you've just saved my ass.
-DW: Er -- you're welcome.-
-M: Back from
martyfan's, huh?-
-DW: Came back around 5, after Clock Killer Fox came home. I have to say, Stargate plotbunnies have a rather strange taste.-
Probably because you're not used to them.
-DW: *nodnod* Probably. How goes my muse story?-
*gives it a read-over* Still plodding a little. *goes to add a DocWolf puke scene to "Extremely Crowded Mind."*
-DW: *sarcastic* Thank you ever so much.-
Hey, I'm just reporting the facts here.
-OD: I am sorry for making you sick before. Even I didn't realize how fast my plot bunny was respawning.-
-DW: It's fine, really. Partially my fault for trying to eat it so often. *sideways look at me*-
I didn't force you into that!
-TD: *curiously* I wonder if you could breed different flavors into plotbunnies. . . .-
So we're a geneticist now?
-TD: I think you inspired me a little with your new Sim skins.-
*giggle* Okay then.
Speaking of those Sim Skins, they look great in CAS -- I "created" a grey-furred woman and a fox woman, though they didn't get past the CAS screen. Ran into a problem with the fox tail, however -- apparently I picked up the wrong mesh when I grabbed it originally. I took the other mesh Atreya offered, so hopefully the recolors will work.
-D: *puzzled* How could you grab the wrong mesh?-
She has two -- the original and one that was fixed for glossiness. I took the "fixed" version, but none of the recolors showed up. So I guess the recolors are on the original/"animal kingdom" version.
-D: I see.
Ears work, though, and so does the cat tail I downloaded.
And for actual Sims, it was a Hill Valley day, playing the Parkers, I started things off with an early game of red hands.

Then Robert cooked himself some breakfast while Jennifer practiced her Charisma. The Hill Valley citizens are really lagging behind on skills.

Robert played on the swingset while Jennifer had her breakfast. I swear, the man's addicted to that thing.

Daylight eventually came, and I had the Parkers work on more skills -- Jennifer funning via chess, while Robert studied Mechanical.

Jennifer had to head out to school, but it was one of Robert's days off. I had him continue to study Mechanical, then pratice Charisma. He can't afford to lag behind in skills either -- not if he wants to be a Captain Hero.

Jennifer returned home from school -- and this is where I decided to have a little fun.
-J: O.o-
-J2: Can we ask your defintion of fun?-
Seeing how those cat ears and tail would really look on you.

-AJ: . . . SimMe doesn't look impressed.-
-VJ: The ears and tail do look pretty good, though.-
I know. :) Genensims did a good job with the recolors, and Atreya with the meshes. The face makeup actually came with OfB. Anyway, Jennifer called up her friend Sophie to tell her about her preparations for FurCon.

"Relax, Sophie, I'll stay away from the furverts."
-M: *snort*-
-J: *rolleyes*-
After a fulfilling conversation, Jennifer practiced piano while Robert called up William McFly. He and Will managed to make friends talking about ice cream -- seems logical enough to me.
-D: Me too -- who doesn't like ice cream?-

After playing piano and doing her homework, Jennifer had to take a nap. Preparing for Furcon is hard work.

Thus she was awake that night to call up Sophie and finally make friends (she was into 80s daily with this girl when the smiley face finally appeared!). Robert, exhausted, went to bed.

After a quick toilet break, Jennifer primped in the bathroom.

"Oh yeah. I'm gonna knock them out at Furcon."
Then it was time to go back to normal and play a quick game of SSX3 before bed.

-J: I suppose I'm glad your stuff worked, but why embarrass us?-
Because I needed to play you. Just be glad you're not the Tannens, I'll probably screw up their lives even worse the next time I play them.
-M: Looking forward to it!-
