Okay, Brain, I Just Went To See X-3
Jun. 6th, 2006 10:04 pmWTF is with the FANTASTIC FOUR/BTTF thoughts?!
-D: Perhaps your brain has gotten the impression you thought as much of X-3 as you did of Fantastic Four.-
I think more of X-3 than Fantastic Four. At least X-3 didn't have characters that I was supposed to like but instead despised. (I'm looking straight at YOU, guy-who-played-Johnny.) And X-3 has the help of two good prequel movies.
-OD: *he and tentacles nodnod* That's exactly the stance we're taking toward Spider-Man 3, when it comes out.-
LoL, good idea.
Fairly productive day here -- got a nice chunk written on "BTTX-2" and I'm currently working on "Boy Genius." On the written side, I did a page in "Past Amnesia" and finished up the page I left incomplete yesterday for "Boy Genius."
-VD: Think you can spare some time for "V.D." edits?-
I'll try. I'm running a little short here, though -- not only did I have Sims, I also made some current backups of everything.
-M: Today? Weren't you worried the computer would explode?-
No more than usual. *sigh* Really gotta start thinking about getting a new one. . . .
-TD: *puppy dog eyes*-
Sorry, but no.
-TD: *sulk*-
-VDM: There wouldn't be enough room for one of your computers in here, Emmett.-
-VD2: And the one in the basement makes its own brand of strange noises. I'm half-certain you've built the steampunk version of HAL.-
-TD: HAL?-
-M2: 2001: A Space Odessey. We need to rent that again.-
-VD: I'll pick it up tonight.-
No staying up all night watching movies.
-VuM: Like you wouldn't do the same thing if you could?-
That's the point, I CAN'T. Work, ya know. So if I can't, you can't.
*chorus of awwwws*
Played the Strangetown Clayton/Lloyds today in Sims. Their day started off quietly enough -- the girls got up, talked, ate, all that.

Gypsy, Josephine, and Jennifer all left for the day, leaving Mysteria and Clara alone. Doesn't Gypsy look smart in that bright red outfit?

Clara had some breakfast as Mysteria headed upstairs to seed her indoor garden. (I've completely forgotten what the darn thing is called, honestly.)

Then Mysteria got to work on the toy bench while Clara came up and fixed a broken Toy Robot.

Clara eventually joined in on the action with the robot bench. These benches are a good way to make a living, even without an actual business. Just hit make many, then sell all the stuff through the inventory. All it costs really costs you is a bubble bath for your craftsman.

Jennifer eventually arrived home, bringing along a boy named Addison. He and Jennifer had a nice chat before Jennifer sent him on his way -- I always have my school-age sims chat up any sims they take home once, just to see if they have similar interests.

Then she and Mysteria sat down for a meal together. That's a rather painful-looking pose, Mystie.

-VD: *wince* Yeah, especially for a Sim.-
I know. Josephine arrived home as Jennifer did her homework -- she and Mystie played some red hands.

Then Gypsy came home as Jennifer refunned and Clara and Mystie fixed up the broken robots Clara had made. Gypsy came home with a work buddy, but I had her say goodbye -- Clara had already invited Doc over, and I didn't feel like dealing with any other guests.

Doc eventually arrived -- Josie, fresh from a shower, got to greet him.

-VD: O.O Great Scott!-
-VD2: *can't resist a snicker*-
Attraction responses are evil, aren't they? I cooled things down with a bit of red hands.

Gypsy and Clara also went out to greet their friend -- Gypsy kept things to tickles, while Clara settled for a hug.

Though that didn't stop Clara from swooning over him a little as he played pinball. Watch out, Clara, Mystie might not appreciate the heartsbubble.

Unaware of Josie's forceful greeting, Mystie lays a kiss of her own on Doc's lip. Even if she was aware, though, she really can't complain. As a Romance Sim, she did have two other men on the side.

Curious as to her love's thoughts, Mystie asks him what he wants. Doc promptly replies that he wants to stargaze with a telescope. Typical Knowledge Sim.

While all this is going on, Josie and Gypsy have some custom-food dinners -- Josie gets the Chicken Teryaki, while Gypsy has Broiled Beef a Jus.

After a little more affection from the girls, Doc went back home. Jennifer entertained herself on piano for a while, then hopped on the computer and got her college scholarships. She ended up getting the exact same ones as Marty -- SimCity Scholar's, London Culinary, Will Wright Genius, Quigley Visual Arts, and Tsang Footwork. After counting her money, she called the taxi and moved to college.

-J: *frown* Isn't this version of SimMe a little younger than Marty?-
Yeah, you're the earliest I've ever sent a Sim off -- 3 days left of teenagerdom. However, since you've been a teenager since I started playing, I think all is cool.
After waving Jennifer off, Mysteria and Clara went to bed. Gypsy stayed up to work on maxing out her Mechanical skill, while Josephine went upstairs to make a flower boquet. You'll notice I finally added lights to this room.

She finished a very pretty daisy bouquet, and I put the three "first efforts" into a nice place next to the benches. Since I couldn't get the Toy Robot onto an endtable, it and Sir Bricks-A-Lot remain on the floor.

I then saved with Josie running the course for Body Skill.

-VD: Why aren't they vampires yet?-
Well, now that I don't have to worry so much about Jennifer, I suppose I can get to work on making Mystie and Josie vampires. I just want Josie to get her final promotion before she changes, though. Mystie has a night job, so she's good.
A quick quiz, then I go back to writing.
Heh, I had to go for the goggles. Mad Scientist all the way, baby!
-DW: *rolls eyes* Girl Genius really has eaten your brain.-
Well, it's sharing space with Marvel now. *tries to fend off the "Bang fangirling Wolverine" plot bunnies*
