Let's Get Shopping

crossover_chick1955 -- After getting the DeLorean home and somehow managing to hook up Doc's 1955 TV to Marty's 1985 video camera, our heroes watch the footage of that fateful night at Twin Pines Mall. Doc is relieved to see he still has his hair. That relief quickly turns to shocked horror as his older counterpart announces that the DeLorean needs 1.21 gigawatts to travel through time. Doc has no idea how he's going to get that kind of power. Marty suggests plutonium, but that's a real no-go in 1955. It looks like Marty will be stuck in 1955, away from everything and everyone he loves --
Until Doc mentions that the only powersource he knows of that can provide 1.21 gigawatts is a bolt of lightning. And luckily for everyone involved, Marty has his plot point -- the flyer! Doc postulates that if they can harness the lightning that will hit the clock tower in a week's time, they just might be able to get Marty back. "Next Saturday night, we're sending you back to the future!"
Marty, relieved, starts making some sight-seeing plans. Doc cuts him off, afraid that if Marty interferes with anything in 1955 Hill Valley, he could affect the future. Uh-oh. Marty is forced to admit to Doc that he's already bumped into his parents. Doc realizes with a jolt why Dave's hair is missing and asks to see the picture again. Dave doesn't even have a head by this point. Not good.
It's also implied that today is the day Doc and Marty get Marty's 50s duds, as he shows up for school on the 7th wearing more contemporary clothes.
-OD: *poke* Do you think you can save the Marty sprites?-
Maybe. I'll probably have to resketch though. The main problem is that the ones on the bottom row are smaller that the two on the middle. I'll give it another look after I get in my page on "The Gift and the Curse."
-OD: Ah, yes, I keep forgetting I have a story to poke you about now.-
Hehe. Don't worry, it's going fairly smoothly, all things considered. Had to make one retroactive edit so you'd guys have the hoverboard back in 1885.
As for other writing, I wrote some more on "Absolute Power," my Biffhorrific challenge story, and I got a couple of pages done on "Boy Genius."
-TD: At last. I was starting to wonder if I'd been forgotten.-

-D: Yeah, really. You help inspire all the crazy inventions.-
-HD: I'm reasonably certain she wouldn't have come up with my tea table if you hadn't been first. Thanks for the inspiration, in that case.-

I also made some alterations to the timeline and added some info for the notebook.
-VD2: Again?! What now?-
Has to do with Fusion Industries. You see, I've always imagined that you end up working for them at some point. However, in NonTrilogy, Doc first works for a company called Inventions Inc. After realizing Fusion Industries is probably more of a power plant place, I decided that, after they form, they merged with Inventions Inc. to get a more diversified product line. Sound plausible?
-VD: Yeah, we'll take it.-
I also bumped back a few inventions and stuff to make it more realistic. I really need to get some proper ink for the printer and print out some of this stuff -- be very handy.
I also kept my word to RolePlay Doc -- Marty and Doc have been made. :)
-RPD: *applause*-
That's Toddler!Plant!Marty, with Dr. Calvin Klein, his first guardian. Calvin will be suffering an unfortunate accident with a satellite shortly after they move in (if I can find the right hack).
-M: Jesus, nice outfit.-
There's not a lot of clothes for boys. You should see what you have to wear to bed.

I was gonna, but then I saw that the "steerage" outfit was available to collegiates, and I couldn't resist.
-DW: So, does the official storyline start soon?-
As mentioned, I need a hack that can kill someone via satellite. I also want to finish the Town Square first -- as I had some time after finishing them, I got to work on that.
Some exterior shots -- I haven't finished roofing everything yet, so just ignore the grey. I'm also going with the 2015 pond, so I may eliminate the smaller "Courthouse Park" lot across from it. Or at least rename it.
I finished the bathrooms for this strip at least -- they have changing tables because I thought they looked a little empty. We'll also have a clothing store, a coffee shop, a grocery, a theater, and a general store in the clock tower.
-RPD: Nice work. That leaves Lous, the Cafe 80s, the Pleasure Paradise, and the park if you chose to keep it.-
Yup. I think I can get away with having a few incomplete lots -- I'm getting eager to start the actual playing.
Anyway, gotta run -- I have to get SOMETHING done on "V.D.," or else VampDoc here will kill me.
-VD: It would be justified -- you haven't even LOOKED at it for the past few days!-
I know, I know. . . .
-HD: I noticed there was no vilifying of me today. Finally accepted me as a muse?-
*looks at him*

-DW: *patpat* Admirable job with the hazing.-
-D: And really, it's your own fault for the chocolate comment yesterday.-
-HD: I didn't think -- I'm not really going to do that!-
-VD2: That all depends on if we can keep her out of the plumbing.-
-HD: . . . Great Scott, I've joined a place that's even crazier than Wonderland.-
-TD: You only just realized this?-
-H: Hey, I've been wondering -- where are your friends? Vic mentioned an entourage. . . .-
-HD: I wanted to make sure she was done being mean until I invited them. . . Not sure I will after this.-
Oh go on, I don't mind. I just hope we have enough food.-

-DW: Of course, this may mean you'll be poked into doing more J.C. stories.-

XD Sam and Daniel both have a Want to see him, but for some reason, both refused to acknowledge his presence. Jack did instead, which was funny because he's the most unobservant person ever.)
