crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (exhausted)
[personal profile] crossover_chick
-D: Are you just being annoying, or did you not sleep well last night?-
The latter. My brain started thinking about JACK (comic strip, not Doc's twin) at exactly the wrong time. Plus I had a slight stomach ache that made me worry that it was that time of the month.
-VD: Despite this, I can't see you having an early night.-
Well, I gotta write for you boys, otherwise I'll go out the window.
-OD: We put pillows out there.-
:p Even so. . . . Gotta get moving on "Marty In Wonderland" and all that.
-TD: Don't forget, we're doing "Girl Genius" sometime this weekend.-
Yeah, I won't. Looking forward to it. Though I'd better warn you, I can't do it on Monday.
-TD: *surprised* You're working?-
Afternoon, yes. Boss switched up my schedule so I'm working Monday through Thursday afternoons. Mom and Dad want me to get more hours -- maybe I'll just ask him if I can work afternoons five days a week. I still get to sleep in a little, and I get a larger paycheck.
-VD2: Well, whatever you decide, make sure you can find a way to write.-
I will, I will.
-OD: Or draw -- don't you have any drawing ideas at all? *tentacles attempt to look pitiful*-
Come on, guys, I'm giving you regular "Gift and Curse."
-OD: Which we appreciate, but we're primarily in charge of fanart.-
-DW: To be fair, she DOES have a couple of ideas -- Wonderland-themed, granted, but they're there.-
Yeah -- preview pic idea for "Marty In Wonderland" and a silly "Agatha In Wonderland," based on the idea that a few characters in the comic could easily slide into Wonderland roles. As Gil would say if I drew it, "Well, we DO have a whole race of Mad Hatters. . . ."
-H: *snork*-
-HD: Oh, do Jaegermonsters like tea then?-
The older ones do, they gave Agatha a very nice tea party when she arrived on Castle Wulfenbach. Dunno about the younger ones -- Maxim ever mention it to you, Holly?
-H: Not really, but he's a Jaeger. They can and most often will eat anything.-
-TD: Is he still joining up with my group at the end of "Boy Genius?"-
I'll do my best to manage it. I could probably swing it if he didn't -- Agatha and Gil do show up in the sequel in lesser roles -- but I'd like you getting a Jaeger bodyguard of your own. Have no idea how I'd manage Emily and Ardsley at this point, though.
-E: *pout*-
Hey, I didn't say you had to stop dating him.
-E: *brightens*-

-RPD: Because we can rely on you for Sims, at least.-
Yup. :) Anyway, first stop was Goldie Wilson over in Hill Valley. After waking up and taking care of business, I had him do a couple of daisy bouquets at his flower bench. I still think it's hilarious this is what he "asked" for.

Then some gelatin before an insanely long work day. 9 to 6 -- bleh.

He eventually arrived home, WITHOUT a promotion (blah). I got him greener, then had him call Linda and Christy to talk. I wanted to invite Christy over, but she rejected him -- guess having to deal with Tiffany while he was trying to talk to her didn't do great things for their relationship.

Then a TV dinner and some studying before bed.

-RPD: . . .-
I know it's dull, which is why I went down to the shopping district and finished up Le Botique. Here's some pictures of the finished product:

Front -- you may notice there's some additional rooms? Well, I forgot bathrooms the first time around. Aren't I smart? This seemed to be the place to stick them. The front hall just has some chairs for lazy Sims.

Back -- the blue room turned into a gym. In a sudden fit of inspiration, I put TVs in front of the treadmills. :D Now it actually looks kind of realistic! I also stuck some pop-art paintings in the main octogon, just for color.
-RPD: Nice. And Linda's going to work there?-
Yup. Probably as a hair stylist.
And finally, I popped in on Cyd and his new family of dogs to see how they were doing. Sarah and Danny? HOLY TERRORS. Cyd had to keep working on them all day, ignoring his own needs. At least it's paying off -- he's got both of them thinking more respectively, and already they're eating from the dog food dishes instead of food I made Cyd drop on the floor.

As for that puppy-love thing in their bio -- bullshit. One of the first things my Sarah and Danny did was get into a knock-down, drag-out fight, much to Cyd's horror. Danny won.

They're both pretty agressive, Sarah especially. Poor Porthos, intimidated by the big dog. . . .

But five seconds later, they're playing. I don't pretend to understand.

I ended up having to really widen out the pet room -- there just wasn't enough room for everyone! At least Cyd had a bit of money to burn.

And he got to chat up Allison about kissing and doggies too, so he's cool. I think Sarah and Danny are going in the adoption pool before anything happens, though.

-RPD: I don't blame you! Are you still waiting until the puppies are born?-
I don't know -- I don't know WHEN the puppies will be born! Seems wrong to foist a pregnant dog off on someone, though. . . .
-D: I'd say, it's just Sims, but then I think about how stupid Sims can be.-
LoL, exactly. I'll probably end up sticking them in there first, though. Let someone else deal with Sarah's mood swings.

And now, to write before I fall asleep with my head on the keyboard.
-HD: I'll get your Annotated Alice for you.-
Tanku. ^^

If you've been reading the latest arc, "Two For You", and you're having trouble with Nostrum's riddles, I'll give you the answers.

Thanks, but I've got them -- it was actually the secret riddle pages that were bugging me last night. (Mulefoot's art style is creepier than Dave Hopkin's.) I do admit this last one gave me one HELL of a headache. Luckily, I hit the board, and some guy practically gave away the answer while he was wondering what it was.

I solved the HEAVEN one on my own, though. :D

The first one I had no problem with, the second one I had to scour the forum cuz I'm no good with number puzzles, the third one I only had problems because I didn't capitalize the answer at first (more forum help), and, the third one I added ".htm" at the end when I shouldn't have (and had help from the forum posts). :p
