-M: Vicky just had a stomach virus from hell, and she's still recovering, so if you're wondering why she's been incommunicado, that's why.-
-D: We'd thought we'd dodged a bullet -- her parents had something very similar, if not the same -- earlier this month, but no luck.-
-VD: She hopes to be better this weekend -- keep your fingers crossed!-
-TD: And send internet Popsicles -- she's craving Popsicles for some reason, despite the cold snap we're in.-
-VD2: Probably because fluids are the best thing she can keep down -- she really doesn't want to eat regular food.-
-D: True. Anyway, that's the report. Wish her luck with work today -- she's braving it.-
-HD: And somebody tell her to drink some tea!-

Good luck, feel better, and drink some tea!

No, not just HatterDoc says so. I drink tea when I'm sick. :)

EW, that sucks. Maybe you guys had the Norovirus, which creates a few days of misery and is mistaken for the stomach flu. It's supposed to be pretty bad this year.

My mom caught it on a cruise ship and popsicles were the only thing she wanted/could keep down, too.

Feel better!

I'm assuming Popsicles are ice lollies...yeah, they're the best thing when you're sick. Hope you feel better soon!

Get well soon! *whips out some internet popsicles* (even though they are a poor substitute for the real thing, it's the thought that counts, no?)

I hope you make it through work okay! :o)

HatterDoc does have a point with drinking some tea, I do that when I am sick too...and when I'm not sick. Sometimes I just need some tea. :P

Oh no! That's terrible Vic :O(

*Sends lots of popsicles*

I'm glad you're feeling better.

Thanks. :) I'm slowly starting to feel better, though I have no real appetite. And I don't like tea unless it's with plenty of milk and sugar, and right now I'm trying to avoid too much dairy (heard it was bad for upset stomachs).

My mom thinks that's exactly what happened, yeah. Let me tell you, misery isn't strong enough a word.

Thanks.

I suppose so -- they're long sticks of frozen juice or flavored sugar water (or, in the case of Fudgsicles, chocolate). I remember when I was younger and got sick, especially with sore throats, I'd end up sucking down a couple.

Thanks. :)

Hehe, thank you. (Though luckily now I do have real popiscles -- gonna have one once my stomach settles a bit more.)

Luckily work was slow, so I didn't have much to worry about. Mostly sat on a stool in the back, reading and watching the front for customers.

-HD: Vindication!-
-D: Oh hush.-

yeah, I know. Be glad you were around when it started because -- trust me -- lots of puke. :(

Thank you -- hopefully I'll be back on my feet in earnest soon. Being sick like this sucks.

It is. I can drink tea either with milk and OMGLOTS of sugar, or sans milk and OMGLOTS of sugar. I just put ice cubes in it instead. :)
