Life Sucks And Then You Die
Apr. 4th, 2007 11:25 pmHuge spiders in the shower, last-minute customers at work (thank God he was only picking up), no proper lunch -- maybe this is why I want to read fanfic so badly, because it's an escape from the set of petty annoyances my life appears to have become for the moment.
-TD: Frankly, I'm surprised you're not freaking out after that error message.-
Well, the computer's running fine for the moment. . . . I got this weird error message when I started up my computer tonight, I think it's related to an update Windows downloaded the last time I shut things down:
RTHDCPL.EXE -- Illegal System DLL Relocation
The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for Windows systems DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.
Thing is, everything I use appears to be working fine. I have no idea which application isn't working. At any rate, I got to make my monthly backup, so I won't lose anything major.
-RPD: Good -- hate to have to go back to the beginning with getting Julia into college and all that.-
The only good thing that could come of that would be a second chance to get the vid, and I don't want to take it to that extreme.
-D: So, basically, we shouldn't expect too much out of you productivity-wise for the moment?-
Probably not. I'm gonna try to keep up my "alternate two pages a day" plan for "From the Ashes Reborn" and "Dude Looks Like a Lady" and my page for "Boy Genius," but don't expect much more than that.
-OD: *pouts*-
I know, I know. I'll do fanart at some point.
-TTV: *gives a slight poke* You could at least add more plotbunnies to "Overly Plotted Bunnies."-
-DW: I agree -- your physical production may have slowed, but the mental one is keeping up nicely.-
Heh, yeah, thanks. I'm still hoping to get a title for the "Narbonic!Marty" story somewhere. If anyone wants to make suggestions, feel free. I can supply the synopsis upon request.
-TD: What about updating your Mad Scientist Legacy?-
I suppose I should, though it feels weird to have only one way to lose points. Maybe I'll think of something later.
Anyway,
revison_doc update -- that's twice now I've gotten the penguin! :D I also snuck Barty Tannen in, to get Eureka's schedule roughly back on track. He didn't do much -- called up his friends, got a promotion at work (he's now a waiter), all that. I do have some pics to share, though. Presenting, WHY BARTY TANNEN HATES FALL:

-VD: *whistles* All that from three trees?-
Yup. Remind me to spare a few dollars and plant a leafy tree at EurekaEmmett's dorm. He could use the compost.
Now to read and sporadically edit fanfic.
-VD2: Before you go, quick question. How close is TeenDoc to taking over the "longest story" badge?-
We're midway through page 135, in Chapter 12.
-TD: *whistles* How long til the end?-
Well, considering chapters are generally 10 pages at shortest in this particular work. . . .
-VD2: *pats TeenDoc on the back* You did good, kid. You did good.-
-TD: *beams*-
-HD: Scones for the young Spark! Nibble gently, they're ticklish.-
-TD: *even he must O.o at that*-
. . . I'm going to just ignore that, kay?
