Life Goes Up, Life Goes Down
May. 30th, 2007 11:07 pmAnnoying busy start to the work day -- however, it calmed down enough by 3:30 to let me write about a page and a half on "A Note of Madness" (I switched journals in the process, so I can't be exactly sure).
-TD: *nods approvingly*-
Hey there, when did you get back?
-TD: This morning. I went home with Trilogy last night -- he was having some minor problems with his train's disguising unit and wanted some extra help. Clara makes some great pancakes.-
Heh, glad to have you back.
-DW: What about other writing? The plot bunny population seems to have stabilized at the moment.-
Started on the DVD cut of "Roll of the Dice," continuing my streak with "The Gift and the Curse," some final poking on "Stuck With You," "V.D." Chapter 7, and "Marty In Wonderland" Chapter 7. Poking continues with "Boy Genius" and "What Lies Within."
-D: Well, at least you're writing pretty consistently.-
Yeah, I know. "Stuck With You" will go up tomorrow, while "V.D." and "Marty In Wonderland" will probably be weekend things.
-VD: Fine with me, so long as they get done.-
-HD: And before you say anything, we KNOW you're tired. But it's your fault for making it our job to inspire you and make your write.-
If I recall correctly, I didn't even WANT you as a muse in the first place.
-HD: Poppycock. If you didn't want me, why did I show up?-
If I were you, I'd be damn thankful you didn't show up as a Richard version.
-HD: . . . Good point.-
-RPD: Stop teasing each other, she has some Sims to update on.-
Been missing our favorite new family -- let's check in on the Hardnames, shall we?
-RPD: Hardnames? But it's Wednesday.-
And the next family in rotation for Twin Oaks Park are the Von Brauns themselves. Even with them taking the weekend off DocBots, I still feel better doing them with more free time. Friday update.
-RPD: Ahhh. So, how are things with our alternate Christophers?-
Good, good! Everyone had a most successful day. Observe:
Christopher -- has already gotten up to 5 Charisma with the help of the toddler talk bunny. Yay for the mysterious Outgoing! I suspect similarly good results with his Logic toy.

He also learned to speak from Adelaide,

And was successfully potty-trained by Henry. Oddly enough, he has not rolled the want "Learn to Walk." Let's give it another day -- he'll be learning it anyway, but it's nice to get Aspiration points.

J.C. -- got fit as I tried unsuccessfully to get her a body point. I need to buy them an excercise machine -- Adelaide already has the want.

She also brought home a special friend -- Alice Inn Wonderland! Yay for summer bonus making it really easy to make friends.

Must be talking about Rutledge's in that first picture.
Jim -- Was promoted to Sous Chef! He also befriended March Hare over the phone -- for some reason, the Wonderland crew likes this family.

Friendship with Adelaide, though, remains elusive.

Henry -- Took the day off to keep an eye on Christopher. He autonomously read to him at one point, fulfilling one of Christopher's wants. For the win, Henry, for the win.

Adelaide -- got her own promotion to Medical Researcher! She too is capable of showing autonomous love to her offspring. :)

Interesting photo time -- J.C. attempts to catch butterflies. In a HAIL STORM.

-D: O.o-
It came on AFTER I directed the action, I swear. Also, interesting glitch with the birthday cake -- the cleaned plates from pre-seasons suddenly had invisible cake on them! I took advantage of this, of course.

-TD: Invisible food? Interesting. . . .-
-OD: Fun With Shorts time, I'm assuming?-
Yeah. Then probably bed.
-VD2: *nodnod* You really need to get into the habit of going to be earlier. Though I am glad you stuck to your promise of not playing Motherload after dark.-
Me too. I like the digging part of the game, but for some reason, the idea of the boss fight freaks me out. I think it's that weird, semi-3-D thing the characters have. Anyway, nighten for now.
