crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (feeling sparky/creative)

-->Timely Memories is up -- I managed the [livejournal.com profile] backtothefanfic posting at 10:04!
-->[livejournal.com profile] revison_doc update -- Kat and Mark have officially graduated and have moved back to Twin Oaks Park. I was a little worried about getting Mark off, since I had some trouble moving him in initially, but it went off perfectly. I'm thinking of having them buy the Patrickson place.
-RPD: I thought Julia was getting that?-
Change of plan -- I'm moving Julia in with George and Lorraine to take over the bakery eventually.
I also remembered I had a skating rink project in Lone Pine Falls (the shopping district of Twin Oaks Park) and did some more work on that -- mostly getting the bathrooms going and getting the place painted and floored:

-->Yes, you get a drabbles88:

57. Thanksgiving
“Did you enjoy the turkey?”
“Oh, yes, it was delicious.”
“Can I have another helping of mashed potatoes, please?”
“Of course! Here, let me help you. . . .”
“So, Marty, how are things in 1986?”
“Good, good. In my first semester of college at Hill Valley University. Still doesn’t feel quite like school yet.”
“Heh, I suppose that’s understandable. My first days at college were a shock for me too.”
“Are you doing anything with your band?”
“Sending demo tapes – recorded samples of my music – out to the appropriate companies. Gotten two rejections so far, but me and the band are holding out hope.”
“‘The band and I.’ And I’m sure you’ll get something eventually, Marty.”
“Aye, so are we.” Seamus McFly grinned at Marty. “From what I hear, you’re quite good on the guitar.”
Marty smirked back. “I somehow doubt you’d like whatever I’d play.”
“Dr. Brown does tell us it’s very loud,” Maggie agreed, though not without a smile of her own. “How’s that lady friend of yours?”
“Jennifer? She’s doing great – looking around at various majors to see what she wants to study. She’s doing history-related courses at the moment – she’s always loved history.”
Doc chuckled. “Well, if she ever needs a little help with her research, tell her I’d be happy to assist.”
“Thanks, Doc.” Marty leaned back in his chair. “I never guessed I’d ever be spending Thanksgiving in 1893. With my ancestors, no less. Doc must have thrown you for a real loop when you saw that train, eh Seamus?”
“Well, I certainly was surprised. And it took months for Maggie to get used to the idea.”
Maggie frowned. “I didn’t think it was anything we should get involved in. I was glad you survived, Martin, don’t get me wrong, but--”
“I think she thought I was a witch or something for a while,” Doc cut in. “I’m surprised she didn’t summon the mob with the pitchforks and torches.”
“She might have, had your wife not been so quick to come over and reassure us,” Seamus said.
“Aye,” Maggie admitted, now looking a bit embarrassed. “You’ve got a fine woman there, Dr. Brown. And I can’t say I wasn’t a little interested in what had happened to you, Martin.”
“You think I turn out okay?”
Maggie smiled again. “It certainly sounds like it.”
Doc lifted his glass. “I propose a toast, then – to family and friends, past, present, and future.”
“Amen!”

This one was inspired by the DVD Cut of "Roll of the Dice."
At the end of the commentary, you'll notice TrilDoc said the Old West McFlys have been bugging him to bring Marty back for a visit -- this is that visit.
-M: I just hope that turkey doesn't have buckshot in it.-
LOL, nah. This drabble was initially a lot shorter, ending with Seamus's "Well, I certainly was surprised." But then Ael read the DVD cut, and we got to talking about how Maggie might not have taken the news of a time traveling train quite so well. So I worked it into my story.
-D: She seems okay with it up there.-
Well, it's been a few months, and Clara's had time to talk to her. I didn't want her to be scared forever.
-HD: Yes, you give us all enough angst.-

-->Still working on "Boy Genius" -- gonna reupload Chapter 9 with some minor edits. Chapter 10 and the second drabbles88 should go up tomorrow.

-VD: Productivity. I don't believe it.-
Not that much productivity, unfortunately.
-OD: It's better than nothing. Though I do wish you'd take up the sketchbook again.-
I know, I know. I'll do something with it eventually -- maybe do that devART ID I keep meaning to do.
-TD: My story first!-
You can wait five minutes -- I also finished off that chapter in "A Note of Madness" for you.
-TD: I'm not counting that.-
IT'S NOT YOUR REALITY.
-TD: Even so!-
-HD: *frowning* What's going on?-
-TD: *scowl* She's betraying my mother's memory.-
I am not! Look, that version of Sarah didn't have a Sparky sibling!
-VD2: *wince* I take it our Narbonic self's breakthrough didn't go so well.-
It was considerably louder than TeenDoc's, yes.
-TD: *grumble*-
Look, if it makes you feel better, Elias WAS behind most of it. She was in shock, and he manipulated that.
-TD: *sigh* I -- she DIED for me.-
I know, sweetie, I know.
-H: *hug* Hey, at least you still have me and Emily, right?-
Right. Your Narbonic self is okay, really.
-TD: I know. It still stings a little.-
*patpat* I'll make it up to you.
-DW: But not before she gets lost in TV Tropes Land again.-
-TD: *snort*-
It's a good site! *rolls eyes* Muses, never satisfied. . . .
