Happy 4th of July
Jul. 4th, 2007 10:20 pmI have done close to nothing, yet the only thing I'm truly annoyed about is not reading this Agony Booth review of Pumaman I have bookmarked. What gives, brain? At least the boys can't get on my case about it -- the Docs are doing fireworks (Hatter and Teen are particularly having a BALL). *looks out window* And putting on one hell of a show, too.
Fun fact: You know you're an absolutely hopeless fan when you get all excited that the BTTF TV Tropes page has been updated with more trope examples.
Is "Fandom By Proxy" a real term yet? Because it should be. I should know, I have it. For "Stargate: SG-1" from Ael and "Dr. Who" from Gigs. I Wiki, I Google, I occasionally read fanfic, I even come up with BTTF crossovers -- but I have never watched either show. (I did see the Stargate movie, but it was during those useless end of the year classes in science quite a few years ago, and I was barely paying attention.) I blame the Who thing not only on Gig's obsession, but because David Tennant is hot.
Yeah, I said it. David Tennant is fricking hot. (This annoys me, because he played Barty Crouch Jr in Goblet of Fire, and being a total Neville fangirl. . . .)
Okay, I'm going to read this stupid Agony Booth Review because, damn it, the Agony Booth is FUNNY! Halfway coherent, fanfic and sims-related entries will resume tomorrow. (Maybe.)

Date: 2007-07-05 04:31 am (UTC)If you think David's hot, say hello to John Barrowman (http://www.planetalnilam.com/images/other/barrowman.jpg), aka Captain Jack Harkness.
Yum~~ ^^

Date: 2007-07-05 09:58 pm (UTC)Also... I totally didn't know David Tennant played Barty Crouch Jr. So I had to watch GoF again just to see, and... Now my brain's just a bit broken. Maybe a lot. I'll tell you when it's stopped doing the "...buh?" thing.

Date: 2007-07-05 10:04 pm (UTC)I did the Google thing -- it does exist, though I didn't get many results (put quotes around it to guarantee the exact phrase). I like giving the idea wider attention.

Date: 2007-07-05 10:07 pm (UTC)It does appear to exist, if without many Google hits. Though I did uncover a meme! *goes to post*
Sorry about the brain breakage. For me, it was a conflict between my Neville fangirlness (and movie!Neville is pretty hot himself, in my opinion) and "Christ, Tennant looks good -- why did he have to be the VILLIAN?"

Date: 2007-07-05 10:28 pm (UTC)Glad it does exists. ^^ Maybe we should all band together and get the phrase circulating around. Hehehehe

Date: 2007-07-05 10:56 pm (UTC)Well, since you like Doc so much, maybe we should put Jack in a white wig and bright clothes. *goes to talk to AL about that*

Date: 2007-07-05 11:19 pm (UTC)I think we can do that, easy. 'Specially with the help of the meme -- memes seem to travel like wildfire in my friendslist.

Date: 2007-07-05 11:20 pm (UTC)I dunno -- he's handsome, it's just not an immediate drool-thing. (It's kind of like how I think Marty's kind of cute, but Doc -- *waves hand at collar*)
