Days of Crackfic

-DW: . . . When we asked you to stop it with the "Normal Again?" plotbunny, I wasn't expecting to get a "BTTF CINDERELLA" plotbunny.-
It confuses the hell out of me too, and I'm the one who came up with it! I blame TV Tropes, it sends my mind to strange places sometimes.
-HD: *sipping iced tea* I don't think it's so strange.-
-VD: Yes, but you occasionally eat your china.-
-HD: Have you ever tried a perfectly-seasoned teacup?-

The weird-ass plot I came up with -- not only is it Cinderella, it's gender-bended so Marty can be in the main role. Seamus and Maggie act as the parents in this verison -- after Seamus dies, Maggie is forced into marrying Buford Tannen, who has as his sons Biff and Griff. Maggie later dies under mysterious circumstances, and Marty ends up as little more than a slave to the Tannens. Doc is the next-door neighbor who does his best to make Marty's life bearable. Marty's also made a pet of one of the mice living in the house and named him George.
-MHG: . . . This story just took a weird turn.-
Wait, it gets bet-- *pause* *looks at MARCH HARE George* Well, anyway, Jennifer's the princess, Lorraine her lady in waiting. Jennifer's had no luck finding a husband, and arranges a Halloween Masquerade ball (open attendance) to get her mind off it. Naturally, Marty's not allowed to go.
But wait! Who's this? Why, it's Marty's fairy godmother, Clara! Normally restricted from making any direct changes (the consquences would be severe -- she'd be taken away and EVERYTHING she ever did for Marty reversed), on Halloween she can do something more. She suits Marty up, creates the carriage and horses, and turns George the mouse into George the footman. Marty, thinking it'll be a little weird for him to just show up, has her suit up Doc too.
-M: What about the famous footwear? I can't really see me wearing glass shoes?-
I'm picturing the 2015 Nikes, honestly. :p
-VuM: Works for us!-
Romance abounds at the ball -- not only do Marty and Jennifer fall for each other, Doc and Clara do as well, and George and Lorraine get to talking. Unfortunately, this means they nearly miss their midnight curfew. Marty naturally loses a shoe in his haste to escape, and they make it home with seconds to spare.
Jennifer, missing the young man she felt such a connection to, announces she'll take the shoe around and marry the man it fits (provided she recognizes his voice, of course).
-VD2: You see, I never quite got that about the original fairytale. Not one other female shared Cinderella's shoe size?-
Well, in this story, Clara does explain that the shoes will fit no one else BUT Marty, being magic and all. Marty's excited about the prospect of marrying the princess and escaping. However, the Tannens suspect he's the true owner of the shoe, and kidnap Doc in an effort to make sure Marty is unable to try the shoe on. Clara, of course, can't help directly, and things get dire.
Jennifer comes -- none of the Tannens fit the shoe, of course. Jennifer sees Marty at the hearthside and thinks she recognizes him. Marty tries to avoid trying on the shoe, fearful for Doc's life. George the mouse manages to come to the rescue, causing such a commotion that an invisible Clara is able to fire off a quick spell breaking the lock. In the disturbance, Biff grabs and shreds the shoe. Jennifer angrily says she'll have them all locked up for destroying royal property --
Which, of course, leads to Marty revealing he has the other shoe. The Tannens are stripped of their title, Marty marries Jennifer, Doc and Clara start a relationship, and even George gets turned permanently into a human for Lorraine.

-D: *looks at preceeding* You plan these things out way, WAY too well.-
-OD: *tentacles buzz* And coming from us, that's saying something!-
LOL, I know. Ael of course came up with the obvious "can't you just do the traditional story with Jennifer/Marty or Clara/Doc?"
-HD: Bah, tradition. Is our Wonderland traditonal? Barely! Down with traditions! Except Mad Hatter Day.-
-D: I think you're overdosing on tea.-
-TD: Get any work done on the fics you're actually working on?-
Can't say typing went well (then again, work was nasty), but I did get some done on "A Note of Madness." I might actually get a whole page done today!
-TD: *frown* You have been lagging -- are you all right?-
Well, I did find out it was PMS that was bringing me down.
-J: That explains a lot, yeah.-
Come on, just two more days. . . .
Anyway, off to send another chapter of "The Gift and the Curse" to Tracey, so I can claim some sort of accomplishment.
-RPD: Hey, you did get a weekday revison_doc update done.-
-DW: And crackfic counts for planning purposes.-
-MF: At any rate, it tastes good.-

omg. I'm so excited for this story. I hope you write it, it sounds AWESOME!! Cinderella is my favourite fairy tale and paired with BttF...dreams do come true! LoL...yeah...(ahem) Anyway, you need to write this. I would love to read it :D

Cripes, this thing is popular! I've fleshed out the plot more for my "Overly Plotted Bunnies" document, so we'll see what happens in the future.
