46428 / 50000 words. 93% done!

I think my NaNo portion of this project is gonna end with the "Humor" chapter. I should be able to make 50,000 words with that, perhaps a little over.
-D: What comes after Humor, anyway? I've forgotten.-
*checks* OckDocumentary. Then "A Note of Madness," "Boy Genius," "Midsummer Found," and finally, NonTrilogy. *frowns* No wonder I'm not going to finish the fic -- look at all those universes! Not to mention BTTF!Wonderland, and bringing in the muses. . . .
-M: At least you don't have to worry about betaing at the moment.-
That's true.
-VD2: How is the Humor chapter coming, anyway? You looked worried before.-
-DW: I think I know what that might relate to. There's been a glut of bunnies concerning the humor backstory.-
Yeah, I've been flying by the seat of my pants, trying to construct the universe. Humor sort of exists on two planes -- the crazy stories of "Catfight" and "The Doc Hunter" and the personal Sluggy Freelance plotlines-ripoff I've been doing in my head. I'm sorta meshing the two together into a semi-TAS world.
-HD: Semi-TAS?-
I'm getting rid of all the stupidest stuff. Jules still talks like he eats dictionaries and shits thesaurases a bit, but he's a lot more informal in personal address -- calls Doc "Dad," not "Father." Plus everyone looks and sounds like they did from the Trilogy.
-HD: But what about the cartoon elements?-
Oh, those still exist -- J.C. just crashed into a wall with no ill effects. I'm just holding off on anything too crazy -- HumorDoc's gonna notice the other Docs don't react quite the same way and guess that maybe things don't work the way he's used to.
-VD: Otherwise known as you making sure these superpowered characters can't derail your plot.-
Yes, stupid, but it's a NaNo. Wordcount above all! On that note, allow me to apologize for your chapter being the second shortest.
-VD: It's all right -- I'm getting plenty of exposition work in the other chapters.-
This is true.
-M2: Doesn't it get confusing, trying to keep track of all those characters?-
The numbering system helps, and you guys are all pretty unique. But yeah, I suspect it's gonna get tough. At least next month I don't have to be quite so gung-ho about it all.
-OD: Working on other fanfic will seem like a breath of fresh air, hmm?-
Yeah, tell me about it. At least I have plenty of editing files for "Gift and Curse" for you.
-RPD: And hopefully you'll be able to relax with Sims again.-
Heh, did I ever really RELAX with my Sims? Though yeah, it would be nice to play them again. Stupid computer.
-TD: That's what you should ask for Christmas -- a donation to help get a new video card, at the least.-
Eh, I'm happy with the list I did send. Except for me forgetting to ask for the Marty Casio watch. *headdesk* Well, I can buy that for myself, I guess. Though I might use eBay instead of the actual website -- I e-mailed them twice to get some shipping rates, and they never got back to me.
-HD: *frown* How rude. They should at least send you something. Even if it's a llama.-
-RPD: Now all I can think of are the Sim University mascots.-
LoL, me too.
Anyway, I've gotten my 2,000 words for the day, so I'm breaking with some Changeling goodness. May also tackle some goodness on YouTube. Must NOT listen to "Skullcrusher Mountain" again.
-TTV: Changeling this, Changeling that. . . .-
Hey, you got two pages on "Corpse Mask," so quitcherbellachin'.
-TTV: Oh! Thank you. Though I still want to watch the movie.-
Well. . . . Maybe this weekend.
-TTV: *grin*-
-RPD: I'd be careful, Victor. She might get the idea to turn the Mask into a Changeling token of some sort.-
-TTV: . . . She's only allowed to do that if my ChangelingSelf can end up with it.-
Only fair. :D
