crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (exhausted)

-->Found a spider in my room -- by having it web down right in front of me while I was making my bed. Ew ew ew.
-->Work today was annoyingly busy. We have only one computer up (boss accidentally killed the other trying to wire up a new keyboard) so if a bunch of people come in at once, it can get frustrating. And it seemed like there was NO ONE who could come in without bringing some sort of entourage. Not to mention we had an assload of Fridays and Saturdays to get through. Plus shirts from yesterday (he brought them in five minutes to closing yesterday, so I went, "screw that").
-->Subcategory of above -- annoying woman who came in with a drop off and a pickup. She had a black sweater here, she said. First off, she's under two names in our computer. I check both -- nothing ready. She insists she has something and gets the ticket. I check the ticket -- says it was picked up on Monday. She says she didn't pick it up, that when she went to wear it today it wasn't in her closet. I grab the boss, check the ticket again -- computer says it's picked up. Woman insists she doesn't have it. Boss promises to look on computer to see about when it was picked up, and lady takes her clothes to drop off when we find the sweater. Mostly sucky because this happened within five minutes of my shift ending. It's possible the girl who was working that afternoon gave the sweater to the wrong person, but there's always the possibility of the customer just being stupid.
-->I worked an extra hour last week because of my coworkers coming in late. Guess what didn't show up in my paycheck. *snarl* He promised to pay me back, but fucking hell, why is it always MY paycheck!
-->The big one. So, since today is payday, I usually take my bankbook with me so I can make a deposit and update my book automatically. I look in my pocketbook -- not there. No worries, probably upstairs in my nightstand, where I keep all my bank stuff. I go and take a look. There's my checking ledger --
but not my savings one.
Problem.
I go downstairs and ask my parents if they have it (they had to do my last deposit because, as I've said, my coworkers rarely come in on time). Nope. Dad immediately says that we have to stop here and find it.
Other problem? It's five minutes before work.
Dad takes me to work, tells me not to worry. I think, "You are so full of it -- not five minutes ago you were saying we had to find it right away!" First minutes of shift punctuated by phone calls. My account hasn't been tampered with, thankfully. I get the idea the savings book might be buried further down than I first looked this morning (there's a lot of paper in there). Mom agrees to check. So I get to worry about that all through my shitty day.
Afternoon comes -- I escape a last-minute customer and go with Mom. No luck finding the book, so we're going to close out my old account and open up a new one. I cash my paycheck (at least THAT'S good) and we go through the whole rigamole. The bank lady gives me a new book.
Mom: "Wait -- is THAT what it looks like?"
. . . .
She found it. It WAS in my nightstand, but SHE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT IT WAS. She thought it was a different sort of book. So, basically, we just closed out my old account -- FOR NOTHING.
I have never wanted to scream so loudly in my entire life.
-->We went to Friendly's after this fiasco -- I mentioned I wanted to go there, and Mom felt bad about the whole savings account thing. Got myself a Friend-Z with M&Ms. Delicious, but it did give me the worst ice-cream headache I've had in a while.

So, yeah. I am completely and utterly wiped. No fanfiction today, I'm afraid. :(
-VD: Vic, if you need a break, just take one. It's not the end of the world, really.-
-RPD: Besides, you gave me something to do. Alice and Sims.-
Heh, yeah, I suppose. Got through Mystifying Maze in Alice and am up to Water Logged in the Queen of Heartsland levels. I kept drowning/being killed by a ventilation fan during one bit, so I gave up midway. Turns out I was backtracking unnecessarily. Oops.
-RPD: Please tell me Sims was better!-
LoL, don't worry, don't worry. I'm all caught up! Dave and Linda have moved on out, and George and Lorraine made Rank 9. Though I held off on planning the vacation -- I'll do that after I install FreeTime. Now I just have to plan a wedding, and we'll be all set for the new EP.
-HD: And we can have homemade tea sets!-
Only the best.
Right now, though, I'm going to seek out some funny or something. And I might hit the sheets early -- I'm TIRED.
