Murgh. . . .
Apr. 29th, 2008 10:45 pmBeen a slow day for fanfic. Various small crises at work prevented me from getting more than a page and a half on "Forward to the Past," and my period choosing to make an appearance today has helped distract me from my typing. Not to mention my brain's in a different place at the moment story-wise.
-D: Still gazing into the Rift, I take it?-
It seems complicated, but interesting enough. I've got some ideas for Doc, including how the Rift might change him. I definitely want him to have weather control (the ideas of him conducting a thunderstorm's really grabbed me), but I'm not sure how much to affect his Changeling contracts. Not to mention I'm undecided whether to fuck with his head more or not.
-RPD: He's already partially amnesiac, what else could you do?-
Restore EVERYTHING.
-RPD: . . . I see.-
-M: Wouldn't that be a positive, though?-
Depends. Finally regaining all of your memories -- the instant you've fallen through a crack in the universe and into a world that's not your own, possibly forever?
-M: *wince* Uh, yeah, I gotcha.-
Still nothing definite, though. I'm still figuring out Marty too. Should I go with the five-foot-four or five-foot-seven height?
-Martys: *chorus* FIVE FOOT SEVEN! FIVE FOOT SEVEN!-
*snork*
-HD: So what's the plan? They'll be running away from Arcadia when suddenly they stumble upon the Rift?-
Basically. Though the fact that apparently you can't app two characters at the same time lends itself toward angstful situations. Doc coming through first and thinking he'll never see his best friend again. . . .
-HD: *severe frown*-
I'm planning to play both characters!
-DW: Still, that's pushing our buttons a bit.-
*patpat* I wouldn't do that. You know that.
-OD: I suppose we do. You just seem to live off of angst at times.-
Stories need conflict -- that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Anyway, I'm off to persue their Wiki -- yes, they have a Wiki -- and maybe try and work on fan fic. If my period doesn't knock me over first. Ta.
