So, made the solo trip to Providence Place Mall today.
It was fun! :D Caught the bus at 10:07, arrived in Providence at about 11:20, and walked up to the mall. First stop was Borders, to see if they had any new Changeling RPG stuff. No new book (must check to see if that's out), but they did have this:

Changeling Dice! I've been wanting some dice, just for shits and giggles. So I snatched them up.
-RPD: Too bad you can't really use them.-
Eh, they're nice to have around for shits and giggles. And I might make use of them at some point. I also got a new "funny idiots" book, Cruel and Unusual Idiots, and the Bruce Springsteen CD "The Risen."
-M: You like Springsteen?-
*blush* I like "Worlds Apart." Though the rest of the CD sounds good too.
After Borders, I hit the food court to get lunch. Stopped briefly at Spencer's Gifts on the way -- it's really just like Hot Topic. Except with more gag sex toys. *rolls eyes* Anyway, got a chicken parmesan sandwich from the Subway -- wasn't real impressed. And the soda they gave me was FULL of ice. Almost to the top. Surprised the soda fit.
-VD: It's times like these that I wonder why I miss human food.-
Well, it was well made up for by the Ben & Jerry's nearby. Waffle cone of New York Super Fudge Chunk = much numminess.
-VD: Oh, that's why.-
*giggle* I wandered around and ate my ice cream, then hit Newberry Comics. Spent a while just wandering around and admiring all the absolutely crazy stuff they have (and rearranging the minimates a bit so the BTTF ones were in front) before grabbing some new Spidey 3 Minimates:
A HAPPY black-suit Spidey and Gwendy. Gwen's jacket kinda scares me -- it's the same color as her skin, soooooo
-VD2: No horror movie thoughts!-
Dude, do you know how HARD that is?
Spidey comes with an alternate "hairpiece" that has him in "ready to be smooched" position. Gwendy is all too ready to take this handsome stranger.
"What the -- I thought it just peeled off!"
-OD: *amused* You have entirely too much fun with that "writhing Peter" minimate.-
He's just hilarious! :D
Anyway, after that I hit Hot Topic. Not much in there to interest me this time, but I did score a new T-Shirt.

No, I don't watch "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy." I just couldn't help thinking it was a neat shirt. I like Grim Reapers.
After that, I wandered around for a while, killing time until I had to leave. But before I went, I ended up going back to Newberry and buying one last thing. Something I'd initially balked at, but decided would be fun.
gigs_83, THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT.

-D: Is that --
A Dr. Who Time Lord Chameleon Arch watch? Yes it is! *headdesk* I guess I just have a weakness for pocket watches. It's a pretty light plastic thing, but it lights up, talks, and tells the time. And the design on top is pretty.

Here's a comparison to my BTTF pocketwatch. The Who one is bigger, but the BTTF one feels more -- authentic, I guess. I think because it's heavier and more metallic.

After getting my watch (and I spent 40 dollars on that thing!), it was back to the bus depot. I grabbed a watermelon-flavored Del's lemonade as a last-minute waiting treat, then hopped on the bus and headed back home. No incidents, just a fun trip there and back. :D
-HD: Isn't it nice to get out and stretch your legs a bit?-
Yeah! And doing it all on my own was cool too. I'll have to try it again later.
So, yeah, worth getting up early.
-DW: Good. Though I'm sure this cut into our writing a bit.-
A little, though I got another good chunk on "From the Ashes Reborn."
-Docs: *together* How did we know.-
*blush* I like that story! I also did some Rifting -- wrapped up
clockwork_doc's intro thread with Revan. Thanks for the intro,
darkjediprinces. And I thought it was too funny when you had her say "full metal exam." :p
-RPD: I suspect it's a common error around Changeling or Rift.-
Yeah. I also had him join the
rift_cafe community so he can have his chance to bitch OOC.
-TD: Rift Cafe?-
It's kinda like the Rift's version of the Inkwell, I guess.
-M2: Hey, that's pretty cool!-
I thought so. :)
Not much else happening, except for some more pictures -- here's my flux capacitor!

And here's the Docmates posing with their invention and looking very pleased with themselves:

Tres nice, no?
-OD: *tentacles nodnod* Very nice! Now you just have to figure out where to keep it.-
Dad offered to build me a shelf, actually. . . .
