Owies and Rifting

-RPD: I take it this means you've sent off Marty's application?-
Yup, and set up his LJ a bit -- museicalmarty. Nothing there at the moment, but that'll change once I learn if he's going to be a proper Rifter or just a side story so Doc won't suffer through never hearing from him again.
-HD: Fingers crossed for the former.-
-RPD: Indeed.-
Yeah, same here. I hope he gets approved in time for his birthday.
-D: How's the actual Rifting going, anyway?-
Doc's nightmare thread had seen some action -- There's a long thread with Gladys, a thread-start with Allana, and a mini-thread with Zel. I'll wait another day before having Doc actually post in his own LJ about the mess, which should be sufficiently angst-soaked.
-VD: Was it really necessary to wreck his room?-
. . . Yes?
-VD2: Karma's going to get you back one day.-
Already did. The Owies part of that title refers to the fact I whacked my knee into the cash register drawer today. Got one hell of a nasty bruise now.
-M2: Ouch. You okay?-
Yeah, I can walk and stuff, just aches a little.
-OD: How was work? Did you get any writing done?-
I managed, yeah. One and a half on "There's Always Tomorrow" -- we've timeskipped to August, yay meat of the story -- and two and a half pages on "Forward to the Past." Had to close out a chapter. One more on that and it's done.
-D: Great Scott, that was pretty fast.-
It's a relatively short story, all things considered.
-VD2: How about typing?-
You won't believe this -- I've hit a rough patch with "From the Ashes Reborn."
-TD: No way. You love that story.-
I do, the current section just feels a little awkward. Once I plow through it I should be good. *slightly suspicious* One of you didn't try anything with Phoenix, did you?
-DW: We may have asked him to back off slightly on any inspiration waves he was giving you -- your other stories do need love.-
I know, I know, will be posting new "V.D." chapter soon, I promise.
-VD: I'm holding you to that.-
In other news, my Who fan-by-proxyism is flaring up, thanks to martyfan -- she's watching some Ten episodes, and I actually know some of the stuff she's talking about. I even directed her to a YouTube clip of the BTTF ref! I DON'T WATCH THE SHOW!
I guess David Tennant is JUST THAT HOT.
-HD: *spittake* What?-
Well, I'm barely interested in the Nine episodes. Except the time-eating lizard one. Ten, however. . . . God help us if they ever somehow manage to cast Christopher Lloyd in an ep, I'd probably have some sort of squee meltdown. (TARDIS vs DeLorean -- WHO shall be victor?)
-RPD: So get clockwork_doc and the Doctor in the Rift to meet already.-
I have to figure out how! Maybe Rose's current Santa-like tendencies could hold a key. Hmmm.

I banged my knee today, too!! Only I did it into the floor. There was a beetle flying around the snackbar and I jogged to try to grab it in midair. I wound up doing a power slide on the floor I'd just mopped and went down on my right knee. And wound up missing the beetle. :/

Oh, and "Father's Day" (the episode with the time-eating lizards) will probably make you cry if you ever watch it. Did to me, but, then again, I lost my father, too.
