Inspired by No Rest for the Wicked, I have an idea for a massive multiplayer fairytale story. And yes, you guessed it, the roles are filled by BTTF characters.

And Corpse Bride characters.

And American McGee's Alice characters.

Hey, I did say it was Massive Multiplayer.
I don't know if it would ever get off the ground, as the plot is a vague, amorphous thing in my head, but here's the roles I've cast so far:
Marty: The Boy Who Set Out To Learn What Fear Was
This is mostly based off his "nobody calls me chicken" thing from Parts II and III -- what if, instead of not wanting to be thought of as a coward, he honestly didn't know how to be afraid?
-M: HEY!-
What?! You're a boy! Be happy!
-M2: Yeah, but isn't that guy supposed to be an idiot?!-
I'm thinking more naive for you. Calm down.
Jennifer: Sleeping Beauty
Yeah, you guys already know this from the fully-Futurized version I'm planning on doing. Jennifer's main trait is to fall unconscious, so it's a natural fit.
-J: *rolls eyes*-
Victor: The Godson of Death
Oh, as if this wasn't obvious. Though it's a more tragic story than him becoming a famous doctor thanks to his ability to see the Reaper.
-TTV: *facepalm*-
You starred in a movie called CORPSE BRIDE. Live with it.
Emily: The Corpse Bride
-TTV: O.o??-
-D: Er --
The film's ALREADY based on a folk tale! I might as well keep her as she is.
-WRM: *laugh* And starring Emily the Corpse Bride as Herself.-
Alice: Little Red Riding Hood
Given that Alice is the McGee version, and LRRH has been portrayed as psycho at least a few times. . . Yeah.

Yeah, the story is leaning toward Victor/Alice ship.
The Queen of Hearts: Big Bad
Currently I'm just calling her "The Demon Queen," until I find an appropriate nutzoid to properly cast her. Evil and tentacley!
The basic groups are four characters from each fandom -- three good guys and a villain. I've yet to cast Doc, Biff, Victoria (currently just a sick lady Victor saves), Barkis, the White Rabbit, and the Hatter. I nearly added some "Girl Genius" characters to the mix because I thought Krosp would make a perfect "Puss in Boots," but I thought the character list was getting crowded. Maybe for a side adventure (Agatha would totally be saving Gil, btw).
-DW: Yes, let's keep the character count down a bit -- I think that's why you've been avoiding "When Worlds Collide."-
It's hard keeping track of who speaks when! I've got ten versions of Doc in there, cut me a break.
Anyway, the basic plotline is some of these characters are on quests of their own (Marty is trying to figure out what fear is, for example), others need to be rescued from their fairy tale predicaments, and they all end up meeting and joining to save the world from the Queen of Hearts. Except the villains, of course, who aid her. Beyond that, it gets complicated, since they're all basically from different tales, and you gotta take some canon into account. My mind is a weird and terrifying place, sometimes.

I should get Victor out and about more. Though Rift's gone -- not QUIET, exactly, more like lurking. Activity seems to be in the witching hour. *sigh* Clockwork, why did you pick the most awkward time to start working with me again?!
