Dang It, Mayhem Managed
Jun. 10th, 2009 10:21 pmYou've got me thinking about how to do the Corpse Bride/Dr. Horrible thing as an actual story.
-TTV: *facepalm* Lovely.-
-TD: I thought that was just you substituting characters in Dr. Horrible with the ones in Corpse Bride?-
Yeah, but now I've gotten to thinking about the whole "Victoria as Moist" issue, and while I still don't have anything definite. . . .
-DW: Vic, there's not even enough there to put in Overly Plotted Bunnies right now.-
I know, I know. But I guess it is something to keep in mind.
-MF: If you do end up doing it, I vote for a change of ending.-
-VD: I thought that was a given. Would 'Miss Threesome' here really give up an opportunity to get them all together?-
-VD2: Yes, but as we well know, she's also Miss Angst.-
-DW: It's like "The Little Corpse Mermaid" idea -- there's a story fork. The problem is, she's actually leaning toward the more angsty one.-
-VDM: Great, so poor Emily has to die again.-
Actually, Emily dies in both versions -- the question is, does she get resurrected?
-TD: Oooh, that's a good point. The right kind of machine, a good stormy night. . . .-
-D: I assume she's somehow end up being buried in her wedding dress.-
I have some ideas for that, yes.
-M: So what's the more angsty version if Emily dies in both?-
Victoria dies too.
*dead silence*
-TTV: Excuse me, what?-
Yeah, this is the ultimate bad end, where both Emily and Victoria are killed in the debris from the ray gun being fired. So Victor's lost both women he cares about. I picture him post-story as acting rather dead inside, because he thinks that loving someone or letting someone love him is a death sentence for the other person.
-M2: Jesus Christ, that's dark.-
I know. I did have a sequel in mind that sort of fixes him up. . .a new heroine arrives on the scene, and somehow he and she start falling for each other while having to deal with Barkis/Hammer, who's become an antihero.
-OD: New heroine? But who --
YOU WOULD NOT KILL OFF BOTH EMILY AND VICTORIA JUST TO GET YOUR VICTOR/ALICE.-
^^;
-TTV: You're evil.-
This was up for debate at any point? Seriously, though, the idea for an V/A-themed sequel didn't come about immediately after I thought up the "both girls die" scenario. It was just a way to break Victor to hell at first. Then Alice came along and wanted to fix things, as she do. You have to admit, they'd bond over the fact that "everyone I love dies violently, unnaturally."
-M: You're twisted.-
Again, this was up for debate?
Anyway, I've got a little last-minute tagging to do, then it's off to bed. Also, The Critic/Nerd review is up! No, don't ask me why I'm angsty after watching THAT. It really is funny, though. They're a great team. :D

That made sense in my head.
