I Think I Know Everything I Want To Say
Sep. 22nd, 2009 10:20 pmSorry about the lack of post yesterday, I got caught up reading The Comics Curmudgeon again. Anyway, I remembered what I wanted to say on Sunday -- I've been making the mistake of looking up stuff on Sims 2: Apartment Life. Damn, I want that expansion pack. I miss my witchery. :(
-RPD: You don't play the game anymore, though.-
Mostly because the latest expansion packs wont' install. Also because the last time I went in to try and make a house, it threw a glitch at me and left me with a black screen for a while. Stupid Sims-hating computer. It's particularly annoying because I sort-of want to do a weird version of the Inkwell crew in the Sims.
-RPM: *suspicious* Define weird version.-
You know that universe I made up where Doc adopted Marty? Think that, only he's got Victor as a kid too.
-D: O.o? How on earth does that work?-
I haven't decided yet, I just thought it would be funny/cute. There'd be three main households in this: Doc, with Victor, Marty, and eventually Dee, Simon and Lucy with Alice as their daughter, and Steve and Gary in their human forms.
-VD2: That brings up an interesting question -- can you get Sims 2 Portal stuff?-
I don't know. Might have to look it up at some point. Anyway, I figure I could get you lot into wacky hijinks and that. I'd just want all the expansion packs, damn it.
-VD: *patpat* There there. This gives you more time to focus on fanfiction. Even if you aren't doing much with that lately.-
-OD: I know. *tentacles hiss a little*-
*blush* I'm sorry, guys, my brain's been all sorts of other places. I'll write some more tomorrow, I swear. And it's not like I haven't been writing at all -- more of the Victor/Alice 30 Dances are done, and I finally finished the rough plot outline to "The Tale." At least my NaNo's set.
-DW: If it's anything like your previous one, it's going to be set for a good long while.-
I'm aware. Oh God, am I aware. Hopefully I can try and avoid too much wordcount padding and just let the story flow. I already know just how I want to begin it, at least.
Lessee, what else. . . . Hmmm. I'm pretty sure there were three things, but I can only think up the "random facts" thing. Been browsing TV Tropes a lot lately, and in the food tropes, I started thinking more about everybody's favorite foods. So, for further edification, let's have some random food facts:
-->Marty's favorite food is basically anything that comes off a grill, though he has a particular fondness for hot dogs. He also likes popcorn with lots of butter and salt.
-->The Docs love pancakes, as evidenced by the flapjack maker in The Ride. They've also got a bit of a sweet tooth for chocolate. In addition, Clockwork in particular loves pretzels.
-->Jennifer apparently likes bananas. You have no idea how much energy it's taking me to refrain from a "does Marty like to watch you eat them?" joke.
-->Clara likes all sorts of veggies, from radishes to rutabaga. She also happens to like rabbit meat.
-->Victor has one HELL of a sweet tooth, though it's more evident in DGVictor than Tie-Twister. His favorite indulgence is ice cream. On the more healthful side, he also has a thing for apples.
-->Alice likes anything salty, including pretzels, potato chips (or crisps) and French Fries (or chips). She seems to particularly like Doritos.
-->Simon likes anything that might come in a little baggy on an airplane, in particular peanuts. It's mainly a holdover from his days as a flight attendant.
-->Lucy's a pizza freak, with a fondness for Hawaiian, though she likes anything with lots of toppings. She'll even eat anchovies.
-->Dee would say her favorite "food" is the gasoline she gets from the Hill Valley gas stations. In her kidlet form, though, she's -- Clockwork, you're joking. CELERY? Okay then, celery. Though she does eat candy like a normal little kid.
*figures she ought to add this to memories or something for reference*
-TD: What's so awful about celery?-
Just not what I picture a six-year-old eating for fun.
-HD: Perhaps with a nice cup of tea?-
I'm thinking more a nice smear of peanut butter.
-HD: And tea.-
. . . Anyway, I guess that's it for me. You'll probably find out what else I meant to say in the NEXT entry. Toodles!
