*snork* Yeah, we're in the leaf-riding sections, which are evil. I hate the stupid ladybombers, and the snarks, and how it's darn near impossible to stay on the freaking leaf. And coming up is the Duchess boss fight, which is sure to be a blast. /sarcasm
-HD: You'll do fine. You've fought her twice now.-
Yeah, but you have to remember, I also only play this game once a year. I tend to forget things. Just keep your fingers crossed for me, everybody.
In happier Alice news, she's shown up in the Nexus to announce her release from the asylum!

Yeah. I also update her LJ proper with a quick fic describing her waking up after the final battle. It just felt appropriate, given the day. (Also why I'm updating at 10:06.)

martyfan! I have fic for you, natch. Took me a while to figure out what to write -- then I took notice of two characters on your RP list:

“So, you’re a superhero?”
Bolt looked over at the Jack Russell currently staring at him with interest. “Yeah, kind of,” he nodded. “Played one on TV for a while – didn’t realize it wasn’t real for the longest time, though.”
“I heard,” Wishbone nodded back. “I wanted to ask – when you were playing the superdog – was it fun? I mean, I always like to imagine myself as the heroes of the books I read – Sherlock Holmes, Odysseus, Robin Hood – but I’ve never really had to do any of the stuff you did, real or fake. What was it like for you?”
Bolt frowned a little. “It was – tiring,” he finally said, sitting down. “I mean, some of the powers I thought I had were pretty cool, but I was always so worried about Penny getting hurt that I could never really relax. I kind of forgot how to have fun for a while.” He looked down at his favorite toy, lying at his feet. “There’s something to be said for just being an ordinary dog with his squeaky carrot.”
Wishbone looked too. “Yeah, I guess there is,” he agreed. “I wouldn’t want to trade my life with Joe for anything.” He tilted his head. “‘Course, we can still play that we’re characters from books. Like we could play ‘Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.’”
“How do we play that?”
Wishbone grinned mischievously. “Like this!” He promptly grabbed Bolt’s squeaky carrot and darted away. “Ha ha! Come catch me, hero!”
“Hey! That’s mine!” Bolt yelled, darting after him. “Get back here! Oooh, if I had that laser vision, you’d be in so much trouble!”

Yay doggies! God, I remember watching Wishbone back in the day, I used to love that show. . . . And Bolt was just sweet. :) Hope you like!
