crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (feeling sparky/creative)

-HD: :D-
-VD2: This is a change -- I thought you were all ready for dark and depressing.-
Yeah, but wanderings around TV Tropes changed that. Hit upon some weird and amusing stuff, and then I watched a bunch of the Literal Videos again, so. . . .
-D: Well, it certainly is preferable to you being cranky.-
Indeed. Now I just have to figure out how to channel this energy productively.
-RPD: Well, at least Clockwork's gotten out for fresh air.-
I know, yay Metody. :) Victor also commented on one of Captain John the First's journal entries. And I'm thinking about either Marty or Alice for tomorrow. Need to have Susan and Charles visit the Inkwell too this weekend. . . .
Anyway! Since I don't have much to say real-life wise or anything, I'll post short and funny fic instead.

2. Polka – Polka Power!
“Really, what’s got you in such a romantic mood?”
Victor smiled as he finished his glass of milk. “I’m not really sure, Alice. Perhaps it’s just being around you?”
“Flatterer,” Alice teased. “Seriously, what is it?”
“I really don’t know! I just woke up in a good mood. Though, actually, Vicky did watch Enchanted earlier today. Perhaps a bit of that rubbed off on me.”
“Ah. Are you Edward or Robert then?”
“Robert, definitely Robert. I’m not flashy enough to be Edward.” Alice chuckled. Victor pushed out his chair and grinned at her. “You know, I think we have the song from the ballroom scene all loaded up on the jukebox. . . .”
“Oh, do we?” Alice said, letting him help her out of her seat. “Well, it would be a shame to let such a pretty piece of music go to waste.”
“My thoughts exactly.” Victor glanced over Marty’s way. “Marty, could you do the honors?”
“Sure thing, Victor,” Marty said, hitting the button. Victor nodded his thanks as he and Alice assumed the proper position in the middle of the floor. There was a moment’s silence. Then –
“LET’S POLKA!”
After a good five minutes of staring, Victor found himself in Vicky’s room, glaring at her as she sniggered. “So. How did one of your Weird Al Yankovic CDs end up at the Inkwell?”

-VD: Great Scott, you haven't listened to any of those in a while.-
I know. I ought to again. This fic was just something quick and dirty I thought up for the prompt -- whenever I think polka, I have to think Weird Al. It just seemed natural to set up a cute little romantic scene for Alice and Victor, only to have it get interrupted by the completely wrong song. XD
-DW: I notice Enchanted makes another appearance.-
Well, that's sort of my go-to romantic movie! I'm always filled with warm fuzzies whenever I watch it. As for the Weird Al song, I'm almost positive one of his polka medleys does start off with "Let's polka!," but I'm not swearing to it. Like I said, it's been a while since I seriously listened to him. "Polka Power!" is the title to one of said medleys.
Also, I may as well mention it here -- I actually DID have thoughts of a Victor/Alice Enchanted crossover. However, I could never figure out who should be Giselle. The Alice I favor isn't really suited for it, but neither is Victor. (Though Emily might make an amusing gender-flipped Prince Edward.)
-WRM: You're really weird.-
*shrug* I love crossovers. That's all I can say.

Ya know, I think I'm gonna pop in one of my Weird Al CDs, for old time's sake. Later!

heh, Victor Alice Ella?? Sounds like an interesting combination....

ANYWAY. I'm sneaking in here because you've mentioned clockwork doc a few times and I vaguely remember a picture sort of like that on your DA that isn't there anymore. Remember I commented "I will not draw him now, I've got too much other stuff to do...."
I want to draw him now but the picture has up and disappeared so I have no reference.

Sorry, my mind was off with the pixies. You said Enchanted and I was thinking Ella Enchanted instead of the Amy Adams one. durr.

LOL, yeah -- though I have read the book Ella Enchanted, and liked it.

Yeah, I remember, but -- I found the picture fine. Happy Clockwork Halloween (http://docfangirl1.deviantart.com/art/Happy-Clockwork-Halloween-102311238) Dunno why it wasn't showing up for you, unless devART was having one of its processor-farts. (I've got it on my computer too, in case that link doesn't show up for you either.)
