Newbury Is Going To Own My Soul

crossover_chickMade a trip up to the Newbury that's closer to our home (and yes, it's actually NewBURY, not NewBERRY as I kept calling it before ^^;). No Corpse Bride stuff, and no Ghostbuster minimates, but I DID manage to snag some new T-2 ones -- I went ahead and bought the battle-damaged Sarah and the Motorcycle T-1000. I also found what I was really looking for -- the Ghostbusters 1 & 2 DVD combopack. :D It comes with a neat little scrapbook, which has details on designing the ghost logo, some old storyboards (apparently in an early draft, Winston was added to the team a lot earlier -- he appears in the "catching Slimer" segment), and even a fake Stay-Puft marshmallow ad on the back. :D I plan to watch featurettes and such tomorrow.
-TD: We weren't aware you like the Ghostbusters that much.-
I like them enough -- and I really like their minimates, so I figured I ought to have the movies. They're quite entertaining, so why not?
Not much happening apart from that -- been watching more of Tyrantking10's Blind Nightmare Alice playthrough. And I'm starting to believe he's really playing this for the first time -- as he ACTUALLY FOLLOWED THE KID THROUGH THE PORTAL.

At the end of the Majestic Maze level, the exit portal has a fence in front of it. There's a pressure plate to the side which, when stood on, opens it. There's a kid standing on it when you first arrive, but he promptly disappears through a secondary portal, closing off your exit. There's three ways you can handle this:
1. Follow the kid through the portal, find him in the maze, and have him follow you back to the pressure plate. Once he's standing on it again, he'll stay there, and you can leave. This is a rookie mistake, though -- as TK10 found out, EVERYTHING RESPAWNS in that case.
2. Use the Ice Wand to create an ice wall on the plate. That'll weigh it down and open the gate.
3. The easiest method -- use the Deadtime watch. You can use it either after the kid's left, by standing on the plate yourself and activating it, OR, if you're really smart, using it right before the final ambush in front of the way to the exit portal and then hauling ass.
He's currently up to the first of the water levels in the maze -- let's see how he handles that. (And while I'm on the subject, I'd really like to smack the first person who called the Boojums "Banshees." Yes, they have a scream attack, but they HAVE THEIR OWN NAME. It's a pet peeve of mine to hear them constantly called Banshees. Calling the Phantasmagorias by another name is acceptable, though, as -- well, look at that name. I personally like Helloween's "Nipple Monster." XD)
