Picspam the Second
Apr. 7th, 2010 10:26 pmYou finally get to see the latest arrival to the toy group, now that I finally have all my pictures up. Sheesh, this was a task and a half. But anyway:
Now, back down to the display bookcase for the:
Corpse Bride Figures

I have put MiniVictor into a scene with I call “Victor feels the pressure.” Wouldn’t you, with MiniVictoria, MiniWeddingVictoria, MiniPastor Galswells, and MiniBarkis all crowded around you? (MiniZombie and MiniScraps + Weiner Dog are chilling in the background, since I couldn’t find a real scene for them.)

I’m still forcing the parents to interact with each other. Mostly because the others don’t want to deal with them.

HallmarkVictor and HallmarkEmily have reclaimed their box – given the scenes I’ve set up, there wasn’t much room for them down on the ground.

Bonejangles has a friendly chat with Paul. I love how, when you put him with the six-inch figures, Paul is right in scale.

While BigVictor, BigVictoria, and BigEmily ask Elder Gutknecht for a little help with their relationship tangle (BigScraps attends for moral support). Gutknecht isn’t quite in-scale, but I think he comes pretty damn close. He was pretty short compared to everyone else in the movie. (And speaking of height issues, damn is it hard to get all of Victor in frame! Honey, I love you, but why must you be so tall?)

I also reposed JunVictor a little so he could hold his PuzzleScraps. Even if it is in a rather awkward position.
And finally, the big news :
New Arrival

Everyone, meet Alice Dolly! :D She’s a handmade one-of-a-kind doll made by O.C.R. Primitive Arts in Connecticut. I saw her up on eBay, watched her for a while, then decided I wanted her and bid. I won her on the 4th, she got shipped the 5th, and she arrived yesterday.

She’s a very nice doll – handpainted with clothes and accessories made from scratch/random stuff. (She has little bloomers under her dress, even.) She comes with her necklace, as seen before, and a little cardboard and foam knife that’s attached to her hand with a little pin.

She also has a certificate of authenticity, stating she’s a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted dolly. She has the maker’s signature and a serial number on the back of her head, underneath all that yarn hair.

Her current haunt is sitting on my bed with Victor Plush (yes, getting him an Alice was a large part of my buying decision). The really amusing thing here is – Alice is somewhat BIGGER than him. Not just width-wise, mind (because really, everything’s wider than him), but she’s a little taller. His head comes up to about mid-cheek with his hair. She’s actually as tall as Big Einy. The only larger doll I have is JunVictor, and really, that’s only just. (I held her up to him, looks like she comes to about his eyeline.)
So yeah, that's the latest on my toys. (Though you'll be seeing more pictures when my other, official Alice toy shows up.)
In other news, weather today was FANTASTIC. We got a lovely summer day in early April. It was beautiful. Supposed to go back into the 50s for this weekend, but hey, worth it for this.
In other other news, LJ really needs to fix its connectivity/server problems, as my RP brain is starting to come back a little.
-RPD: You should make a list of the things you want to do/ask before you forget.-
Good thinking. *goes to do that*
