Coming Up Short, Dragon-Wise

crossover_chickMe and the folks headed to Wal-Mart today -- we all had to pick up a few things, and I wanted to see if I could get my hands on one of those little Smack-N-Roar plushies. I figured it wouldn't be a problem.
I was wrong. There were four boxes, and they were all cleared out. Not one soft little dragon to be seen. :(
-D: *pats shoulder sympathetically* Too bad.-
Yeah, it's kind of annoying. Luckily, Mom and Dad have to go somewhere on Monday, and they're gonna check out another Wal-Mart for me. And if worse comes to worst, I can try ordering them online. There's bunches on eBay, if at rather ridiculous prices.
-VD: Everything on eBay is at a ridiculous price.-
Hey, not everything. I got my latest purchase for cheap -- Fantastic Films #46, with a big picture of Doc on the front. 99 cents without shipping (that was $5).
-VD: *nods, conceding the point* How'd you enjoy that, anyway?-
Oh, it was good! I like my memorabilia. Though I didn't really learn much new -- that's the problem with these old magazines, you've seen most of the information before. But it's still a nice addition to my collection.
-TTV: *jokingly* Ever think of getting any magazines with Corpse Bride articles?-
I've been tempted a couple of times, but the magazine that comes up on eBay the most often is a very disturbingly-covered Fangoria, so. . . .
-TTV: Fangoria? Do I want to know?-
-M: Pretty sure it's a horror mag.-
-TTV: . . . I didn't think the Underworld looked THAT scary.-
*snork* Yeah, Corpse Bride does seem a little out of place there, doesn't it?
Anyway, not much else to report -- supposed to rain the next three days. Just what RI needs, more wet stuff falling from the sky. At least it's just supposed to be light showers.
