Movie Day, Movie Day
Jul. 10th, 2010 11:43 pmWent up to the mall to see Toy Story 3 today. General opinion -- good movie, though a touch predictable. I guessed at the ending as soon as I saw one of the new characters. But it was still very much worth the $12.50 ticket. I was laughing out loud during a lot of it, and I came damn near close to crying at certain points too. Also, I supported the pairing before, but I'm now completely on-board with Buzz/Jessie. It was hilarious and wonderful.
Other things to mention:
-->The only store I stopped by was Newbury's, since I didn't want to dwaddle around anywhere else and possibly get to the movie late. I also only bought two things there, but was a nice two things they were:

The Voltaire CD is one I've been looking for for a while -- it's the one with "Dead Girls" on it! :D And the Ghostbusters 4-pack is the new one I've been wanting, because it has Janine in it.

Me: Hey, Bustermates! I got you someone you've been missing!
World of the Psychic Peter: Aaaww, you got us Dickless!
Walter Peck: Watch it, Venkman.
Hairless Cat: *mow*

Walter Peck in his "being marshmallowed" hairpiece. This four-pack also comes with another ghost trap, and for some reason a spare less-marshmallowy hairpiece that I THINK is for Egon. It's -- weird.

The current set-up for the foursome -- Winston doing his "I love this town!" line, Janine (who is Part II Janine, interestingly enough) giving Gooey Egon a hug, and Walter attempting to break in on the villain argument to have a few words with the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man.
-->Hit Dave & Buster's briefly after the movie. Played a lousy game of Ms Pac-Man, a glitched game of Guitar Hero (for some reason, when I got to the actual song, my strumming wasn't registering), and a pretty good game of Arctic Thunder (2nd place -- I usually get 4th or 5th)
-->Got a Watermelon Del's as my treat in addition to movie Buncha Crunch. It was okay. I considered getting a TCBY Frozen Yogurt, but the little stand they sold it from had been removed! O.o Guess it might be Dairy Queen or Ben & Jerry's for me from now on.
-D: *deadpan* Such a hardship.-
*giggle*
-->Victor Plush and Alice Dolly went with me to see the movie! Victor Plush tweeted his experiences, but I'll share the pictures too:

(I had to have them pose with these -- they were just too cute)

(Sorry, Victor Plush, but I HAD to. Where else am I going to find a zombie toy?)

(I actually branched out and tried something new at Subway -- Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich. It was nummy!)

(That's an old pair of Real-D glasses I kept after my first 3-D experience (I swear, I never saw a recycling box that first time) -- I figured it wouldn't do for the movie to be all blurry. And since they're so small, they can share a pair. XD)

(In reality, the Arctic Thunder machine they're sitting at happened to be out of order.)
-->A few movie preview thoughts: The Sorcerer's Apprentice actually looks pretty interesting, but I think it would have been better had they just divorced it completely from the icon Mickey short in Fantastia. Tangled looks funny. And another studio is doing a film about WARRIOR OWLS.
-->It ended up being a weird weather day: As I was leaving the mall to catch the bus, it looked to be party cloudy outside. That is, until I looked behind me and saw this huge back cloud. Said huge black cloud pretty much chased me to Kennedy Plaza. I'd brought my umbrella, but I was still praying for it not to rain. Fortunately for me, the rain didn't start until I was already on the bus -- and then it just started POURING. We drove in and out of it all the way back. When I finally got off, it looked sunny, but then it started sprinkling. Fortunately, I only had a short trip back to the house -- and then Mom and Dad happened to see me in their truck, so I caught a ride home for the very last bit.
Now, to poke around and read up on Toy Story stuffs, as I'm totally not good for anything else at the moment.
