Laptops Away!

crossover_chickSo yeah, it looks like I just might be getting myself a laptop. Dad thinks it's a good idea too, so if the timing works out, we'll be going to Best Buy to look at some this weekend. Yay. I'm not replacing my desktop, mind, I'm just supplementing it.
-D: What will you be using the laptop for?-
Taking notes at school, more websurfing maybe -- and, uh, I have to admit, I'm gonna see if Sims 2 FreeTime will install on THAT.
-VD2: *laughs* A gaming computer?-
*shrug* We'll see. Have to get one with a decent-sized memory and such for that, but I also don't want to spend TOO much. . . . But it would be nice to play again. Stick Sims 2 and Alice on there, I'll be a happy camper.
-RPD: *jokingly* Also means you won't have to stop surfing the web if you want to play.-
Oh, that could backfire if I decide I want to stalk ModTheSims while playing Sims. . .
Anyway, Simon and Victor have both been chatting away in the Nexus, and the 11th chapter of Cinder-Marty is up. The next chapter wraps things up, just to let ya'll know.
-OD: How's the writing?-
Steady. Worked on "The Tale" today -- Victor had an emotional moment, poor guy.
-TTV: You do like to torture all my alternate selves, don't you?-
-M2: She likes to torture EVERYBODY'S alternate selves.-
:p It all ends happily, I promise.
Sooo, not much else to report. I know, my life's boring. But I have college coming up soon -- I go in for student orientation next Wednesday -- so I think I'll take a little boring. Right now, TV Tropes is calling me.
Oh, yeah, one more thing -- Moose, if I don't see you on AIM, can you float me a suggestion or two on what John might like for his birthday? I know the gang would want to get him something, and I'm having a bit of trouble with ideas.

Anywho! John will like just about anything! But a joke gift of some sort would be fun. As for an exact sort of gift...I got no idea, LOL.

Date: 2010-08-20 10:33 am (UTC)I hope you backed up your custom content so you can transfer it somehow. I would've DIED if I'd lost the TARDIS and stuff that I can't get anymore (though I had to twiddle the settings of the game to get the stuff to show up).
