Today Has Been A Day of Giggles
Dec. 14th, 2010 11:45 pmFirst, I watched Enchanted, my go-to feel good movie. No matter what, I watch it and I feel great. :D
-TD: You're a bit of a sucker for that sort of movie, aren't you? All 'we can be snarky, but True Love also features?'-
Yeah, maybe. I also tried out the demo of the Wallace & Gromit game on my "Loaf and Death" DVD. It was interesting. It's a snippet from the first game, "Fright of the Bumblebees," with a "practice mode" to start. Apparently you're helping Wallace out via his invention of "Interact-o-vision." The practice mode is you helping Gromit with his chess game (one piece got broken, and you need to discover a replacement), while the actual demo involves finding flowers (as Wallace), then rescuing Wallace from a giant bee (as Gromit). I had some trouble with the second bit, as I couldn't figure out where the ladder on the truck was. (Managed it eventually, though.) I consider it a bit of a dry run for when the BTTF Telltale game finally comes out.
Speaking of which, they've got some more content on that! BTTF.com provides some details. The video's interesting to watch, and the new voice clips on the Telltale site are pretty funny. Though a couple of Doc's make me wonder just what HAPPENS in this game.
-M: I'd like to know the context of the explosion one myself, yeah.-
-D: *grumblegrumbledon'talwaysblowthingsupgrumble*-
Young Doc also gets off some nice technobabble. Although I found out an interesting fact about his voice actor.
-VD2: I'm wondering why they didn't just use Chris Lloyd? Has my voice really changed that much since I was 17?-
-TD: Not in my opinion.-
*snork* I don't know. Anyway, Young Doc is voices by James Arnold Taylor, who apparently does a lot of voiceover work, especially in video games. He also does voice doubles for people, such as Daniel Radcliffe, Steve Carell, and --
Johnny Depp.
Okay, between this and the "Johnny auditioned for Marty's role" thing, I am officially frightened.
-TTV: O.O I -- why are your crossovers suddenly looking more plausible?-
If we get another connection between Corpse Bride and American McGee's Alice, or a connection between BTTF and AMA, I may freak out. (For those who don't know/don't remember, Alice has a dodge move in the upcoming sequel that involves turning into butterflies. Remind anyone of a certain corpse bride?)
-M: *pats Victor on the back* I like having you as "one of the guys," ya know.-
-TTV: *small smile* Thank you. I'm glad to be one of the group.-
My headcanon is so ruined.
-OD: Oh, you almost exclusively write crossovers these days.-
I ought to kick that habit, but I don't really want to.
