crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)

Even if I DID just spend the majority of the day rearranging my room. Here, let me tell you what I got, then I'll explain a little. . . .
-->Spider-Man minimates: Peter Parker and Mary Jane
-->New pair of pajamas
-->New pair of pants
-->New shirt
-->Two Newbury's gift cards -- $25 from one aunt, $50 from the other
-->A $25 Border's Gift Card
-->Soul Music by Terry Pratchett
-->The Color of Magic Discworld DVD
-->"Cake Wrecks" calendar
-->"A Grave Proposal" Victor Corpse Bride poster

It's that last one that caused the problems -- you see, I'm a bit lacking in wall space these days, so we needed to take down some of my other pictures to put up my new posters. Somehow this morphed into moving all my books around, rearranging bookcases, moving all my toys, and general chaos. We haven't even finished yet -- the only poster that's up is my Alice one, and that took the place of my Addams Family poster, so. . . . Not to mention my minimates are still all in disarray and shit. I don't know sometimes, I really don't. I guess we'll figure out the last of it tomorrow.

Anyway, I WANTED to play Sims and shit like that, but I don't know if I'll have the chance (I haven't even had a shower yet!) We'll -- we'll see.

Sounds like a nice haul.

I had the same problem trying to find room for my X-mas stash. Add to that the mess from two months of overtime (and only spending two full days at home in all that time) and, well, it turned into a full-scale excavation and remodel. :)

Indeed. Especially after you add up the gift cards I received for both Christmas and today -- 3 to Borders totaling $90, 3 to Newbury totaling $100.

LOL, it's almost like that around here. I used to have a small bookcase in front of my window holding toys and another by my door, holding books -- now the bookcase from my window is stacked with another bookcase and is all full of books, while my other two bookcases are now more or less for my toys. Also I'm taking a bunch of pictures down to make room for my posters and there's the issue of dust all around, so. . .

The one with Sean Astin and Tim Curry? Lemme know how it is - I've checked it out, but never got around to watching it...

Yup! I've seen it before, so I can tell you. It's not perfect -- it takes liberties with the source text, as they all do (there's one REALLY OOC moment for Rincewind at the beginning). But what is there is very enjoyable. Sean Astin in particular is the PERFECT Twoflower in my opinion. :)

Personally, I've always rather liked the process of taking a room apart and putting it back together. Not that there's any time for it these days . . .

Oh, well. Since it's after midnight, I suppose I'll have to forgo wishing you Happy Birthday, and settle for a Very Merry Un-Birthday, instead. ;-)

Eh, I wouldn't mind it so much if it hadn't taken so long. I own too much crap (and will own more in the future as I have $190 worth of gift cards).

LOL, tanku!
