Finding the American McGee's Alice Wiki means I'm all set for pictures when it comes to my "matching wardrobes" series on Tumblr. It also means something new to browse, even though I probably have enough shit to catch up on when it comes to AMA/A:MR-related stuff.
-VD: I would say. Don't go too crazy now.-
I'll try not to, but it's fun being able to visit the trope page and suchlike. Expect major distraction for a few days, boys.
Now, something that I really should have posted sooner -- happy EXTREMELY belated birthday, gigs!

“Hey Vic?”
“Oh, hey Lisa, what’s up?”
“Well, I’m watching your two Victors through the window here. I think Butterfly Boy’s determined to sketch every species of butterfly on the planet.”
“Hehe, yeah, that definitely sounds like him. On a feeding trip, are they?”
“Yeah, that’s what they told me when they arrived. I didn’t expect them to get so into examining the other butterflies, though.”
“Really? Well, maybe I can see that for DG-Victor, I’ve always played up the ‘dead creatures like him’ angle for him, but considering the other one’s named Butterfly Boy. . . .”
“Yeah, yeah, I know. What can I say – he’s less than a year old at this point. We haven’t gotten a chance to know each other too well yet.”
“Plenty of time to do that, trust me.”
“I figured. I was just wondering – how come you haven’t come to get them for anything yet?”
“What do you mean? They can chill up there for a few hours, can’t they?”
“. . .They were right when they said you’d become practically oblivious to anything that wasn’t Alice: Madness Returns.”
“What are you – how long has it been?”
“Three days.”
“Yeeeah, I guess I ought to pry myself away from the game. . . .”

-M: *laugh* Yeah, that was definitely true when you wrote it.-
-J: Technically still true now.-
*giggle* Yes, exactly. I've got Alice fever. I can't help it, I actually do like the game. I mean, I can understand why it's not getting perfect scores from any of the review sites (some of those sections took WAAAY too long to figure out, McGee, and the quicksave feature would have been nice), but it was fun to play for the most part. It was great seeing Alice at work again. But yes, it did tend to make me fairly oblivious to anything not Alice-related, including what the RP gang was up to.
-RPD: Good thing they can amuse themselves, huh?-
There's always Pride & Prejudice & Zombies. For those of you wondering why the Victors are on Lisa's planet in the first place, AL's gift to them this year was two pairs of mated butterflies from Alnilam. They've gotta go back once a month to feed, so the boys brought 'em up and promptly got distracted by all the other colorful bugs. :p At least they're happy, right?
So, anyway, hope you like Gigs, and sorry it's so late. I really WOULD have had it on time had my computer not been an ass.

Final note of the day -- just saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 (we missed it in theaters). Honestly, the film dragged on for me a bit in spots. The "traveling around in the woods" bits didn't translate too well from page to screen. But the action sequences were pretty good (especially Ron versus Horcrux) and I liked the visual style they used to illustrate the Three Brothers story. :) It wasn't bad, but I think Part 2's gonna be better because it has the actual climax. We'll see.
