Worrying About Hurricanes Is Distracting

crossover_chickAll tense in the house this morning as we made some more preparations. I hate when that happens. >.< Fortunately, everyone calmed down by the afternoon. We even went out to Friendly's for ice cream (since we didn't have any in the freezer and don't want to get more yet in case, you know, power goes out). Kit-Kat sundae for me -- not bad. :)
-VD: I hope the storm doesn't cause too much damage.-
You and me both, buddy. I hate the idea of being without electricity for a while. Not even just in the case of having no computer after the battery runs out -- no lights, no music, no clocks -- ugh. At least I have stuff to read. I recently finished Jingo -- good book. I tend to like the Watch books. Especially Sam Vimes. He may come off as kind of gruff, but you know how much he cares for his watchmen. Became extremely apparent at the climax of this book, let me tell you. However, this next one might prove to be a favorite -- The Last Continent. Rincewind and the Wizards, yay! :DDD
-M: *laugh* You've got it bad for those guys, huh?-
I can't help it, they're hilarious! And wheee, more Bursar. :D (I have to restrain myself from shouting that at the top of my lungs whenever I head into college, incidentally -- the entrance I use is right in front of the Bursar's office. XD Isn't bad enough that you've forever made me suspicious of shopping carts, Terry?)
Anyway -- most of the day was spent either helping the parents out or wandering the web. Played some Alice too -- making my way through the Mysterious East. Loading up on collectibles and teeth, and discovering glitches. Mainly, I fell off the first slide section again, and again I was warped to where you're supposed to go. I didn't even fall off at the end. Tis weird! But useful, since I still kinda suck at the slides.
-HD: Less teeth to get, though.-
*shrug* I've gotten all my weapons up to level 3. Upon reaching Chapter 4, I'll start getting loads more gold teeth, so leveling them all up that final bit won't be as much of a problem as one might think. And then it's just a matter of getting all the collectibles and finding all those Radula Rooms, and I'll be set! Won't be quite 100% completion, but close enough for another "fresh" runthrough.
-RPD: Still considering picking up a A:MR Alice?-
Sometimes, yeah. Course, I should probably get my other characters out a bit more before picking up someone new. (Probably best to do that AFTER the hurricane, though.)
