crossover_chick: gif of Doc gasping (BTTF: EEK)

Yup, the Telltale disc successfully installed today! I poked around the extras and watched the commentaries (which were basically the cut-scenes from the episodes put together with a commentary track -- very little actual gameplay seen *shrug*). Highlights from that:
-->Episode 1 was originally scripted to have taken place MOSTLY in 1986. We were supposed to meet Biff's daughter Tiff -- she has concept art in the included gallery. They actually mentioned this a lot -- spending a lot of time on one certain idea, only to suddenly realize that using a whole new idea would be better.
-->The guys practically fell over themselves to include as many BTTF references as possible, being total fanboys and all. :p
-->Apparently, the returning voice actors (Chris Lloyd and Claudia Wells) loved the new spins on their characters. Chris was enthusiastic about the new version of Doc, and apparently punk!Jennifer is a bit more like how Claudia is anyway.
-->Speaking of which, Punk!Jennifer is kind of an amalgam of two characters -- we were supposed to see Tiff in Doc Dystopia 1986 too. They decided to combine them instead (Tiff was said to be kind of Cyndi Lauper in style, which they changed to Joan Jett for Jennifer).
-->Missed opportunity! You WERE supposed to see Citizen Marty during Episode 3! In fact, he was supposed to be undoing all your progress. XD Oh man, I so wish we could have met that alternate.
-->My freakout moment: The guys are talking about voice actors, and they mention that the hostile guy Marty encounters in Part 2 (in the speakeasy) and Parts 4 & 5 (outside the high school expo) is voiced by Roger L. Jackson. This guy does all sorts of voice over work, I've learned.
-M: Uh, so why is this a --
The role I know him from is a certain Cheshire Cat.
-M:. . . What.-
Yes. And guess what? He does MULTIPLE voices. Including Kid's goon Cueball -- AND JUDGE BROWN.
THE CHESHIRE CAT IS EMMETT'S FATHER.
-M2: Okay, that does it. Somebody's gotta make the crossover official. What is it you say, that Victor and Alice are supposed to be relatives of Jennifer's?-
That's the idea -- somewhere along the line, one of their descendants marries a Parker. I'll work it out properly eventually.
Anyway, it was nice to see the extras and the concept art. There was a cut Strickland character too, Ricky. I have no idea where he would have fit into the plot, but he looks way more laid-back than any other Strickland. It's weird.
I also FINALLY got Alice to cooperate! And the config file trick worked -- I have pretty new dresses and weapons! I'll have to play a portion in one of them -- maybe try out Hattress in Hatter's Domain? Eeee DLC!
Anyway, I haven't exactly been productive -- the fun stuff coupled with watching Halloween Wars on Food Network means I've been slow at tagging and things like that. As it is, I gotta update VictorPlush's twitter, then I gotta head to bed. Sims update tomorrow, I promise. Night!
