crossover_chickThere's something almost soothing about having just the one family in that neighborhood sometimes. Even if other times I want to go ahead and add my fandom families. Still, EVL hasn't even started his business yet, so that'll be some time in coming. So, what has he and Felicia been doing in the meantime?
Sunday
Felicia did a lot of studying -- I needed her Infallibly Good again for a while so I could make something only the most aligned of witches can make. . .
EVL's still in the Oceanography career, building capital for his business (aka making sure they actually have some money to LIVE before he starts buying community lots and making robots for a living). He's also still treasure-hunting, digging up a nice cat statue for a few simoleons on this go round.
Felicia indulges her nature hobby and finds some bugs.
She also goes a-treasure-hunting, resulting in. . . .
A map! (Also her bug box from earlier.) Unfortunately, it's the same map EVL already has (Mysterious Hut), so hers will be used for decorative purposes.
One of my favorite spells should score Felicia some good points! But will they be enough. . .
More reagent-making while the snow falls softly outside. Seriously, they spend a good portion of their lives making reagents. It might be faster to buy them, but this method's free.
EVL comes home with another promotion -- Marine Biologist -- and promptly goes to blog on Tinkering for a while. Felicia, meanwhile, is aiming to paint a masterpiece.
There is also yoga to be done, as EVL now appears to be on a bit of a health kick.
Felicia really needs some friends of her own, so I send her out to talk to this guy, Ryan Wheeler. Chatting about witchcraft seems to get his attention. At any rate, he's someone we can use for potential friendship.
Synchronized "It's Snowing" facepalming. That -- looks like it hurts.
The studying pays off! Felicia has her aura again! Now to work on the "gamebreaker chair" project!
Double double, toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble!

Holy crap, they've been there a week in Sim terms. . . . Well, anyway, here's EVL going to work at ass o'clock in the morning. Apparently Marine Biologists work from 5 to 11 AM. I wanted to be a Marine Biologist once -- not anymore!
Felicia's got other concerns. After toiling away most of the morning. . . .
We get this baby. The Throne of Light, the chair that will fill all your needs just by sitting it in. Awesome, no?
But that doesn't mean that there isn't still time for birdwatching.

. . . For a being of magical goodness and light, you're not very bright, are you Felicia?
Fortunately, I am. Behold! The chair of ETERNAL STUDYING. Seriously, this thing maxes out all your needs, then KEEPS THEM THERE. I could have just left her like that forever (or until she maxed Cleaning). You pair this thing with the bookcase you get from the Education career, and your Sim could spend all his or free time maxing skills.
. . .Felicia looks like she'd be a good teacher, doesn't she?
A chance card about mislabeled bugs leads to EVL bringing home a new friend -- Vyn Walter. They chat while EVL probably freezes his feet off. Still, he could probably use more of a social circle.
Inside, after Vyn leaves, it's all about yoga and still lifes.
Oh, and gift-giving. Would you believe I think this is the first time I've ever used that interaction? He handed over some spell ingredients he had some extras of -- because everyone can use those.
Felicia feels extra-magical after selling her first masterpiece.
A romantic moment -- because Felicia knocked their relationship down a few pegs with a bad dirty joke. It's weird how often that interaction bombs, even between people as close as these two in Platinum moods.
Ah well, she can make it up to him by giving him back some of his ingredients.
As usual, time is spent making reagents.
And a few glugs out of the Elixir of Life cooler are taken, since we can't have them aging out of childbearing age without ever having kids.
Felicia wanted a pottery wheel, so I went ahead and got her one. While she makes her first plate, EVL tries more treasure hunting.
Unfortunately, today is a day of leaky water mains. Ah well -- he's doing well in his job, so that'll have to do.
Plate completed, sold for $40. And she wants a Bronze Pottery badge. I foresee a lot of plates in her future.
And less Infallible Goodness -- Magivestium takes its toll again. Of course, now that we've got the amazing chair, I'm not so fussed about it. I'll still try to keep her a good witch to EVL's neutral warlock, though. Better range of spells that way.
