Early EVL Entry

crossover_chickMostly because it was a busy day for him and Felicia today -- their wedding day! So I figured I'd give you the scoop right away. (Also, they've got a vacation booked, so I might actually hold off on updating them again this weekend and instead do a vacation roundup next Saturday or Sunday.)
Saturday
Before any wedding things can be done, however, there are things to take care of around the house. Like trimming the orange tree, for example.
Also earning skills and making pottery. I've decided not to have Felicia open an art gallery, by the by -- too much stress on me and the Sims, I think. Better to focus on one business at a time.
I decide Felicia ought to do some things related to her Nature hobby and have her hunt some bugs. She snags two beetles for her box.
Admiring her four beetle collection in her formal wear. What, it wasn't anything I'd really looked at before.
She also feeds the fish in the koi pond. Not necessary, but -- hell, what else can you do with it?
EVL changes into his formal wear, then sets up an Outing with Felicia and his college buddies Grant and Sadie. Here he ensures the Outing score will be good before they even hit Pastor Galswells's Church.
And now it's off to be married! I'm taking a picture of this mainly because I'm so used to Sims vanishing to allow other members of their group into a cab, seeing Felicia go to another door and sit next to her still-visible fiance is a little weird. :p
The gang arrives at Galswells's Church and do some pre-wedding chatting. Felicia and Sadie get on pretty well, which is nice.
EVL's doing the school cheer here, in case it's hard to tell. While Felicia thinks about adopting children. Let's get you married first, okay?
The pair trade partners so EVL can get equal time with both his friends. Felicia starts strong by talking about woo-hoo. . . .
But apparently Grant's not fond of witches in general. Your loss, bud. Let's go get married!
The wedding video! Which has a momentary wall pop-in I can't understand! Still, it's not bad, and it went off fairly well for my first community lot wedding. Though I was hoping more people would watch. . .Eh, EVL and Felicia are both on the shy side. They probably don't mind.
You two just got married -- you don't have to act like you're waiting for the guy to come marry you.
Felicia: I'm married! I'm a bride!
EVL: Who is this person going for the toasting set?
That's Vidcund Curious, who is apparently willing to toast to your marriage if it means free "nectar."
Vidcund: To this guy, who just got married on this lot and thus lets us all have free not-booze!
I guess it's romantic enough for a kiss.
Here's one of the reasons I want to keep Felicia on the good end of the witch spectrum -- Benemoodus Populous! I think this'll be very handy in EVL's eventual shop, and I don't know if my "more neutral than neutral" now EVL will be able to cast it.
Time to cut the cake! Time to be happy they can do this even on a community lot!
You know, I really didn't expect that from neat-as-hell EVL. I thought neat Sims fed their loves quietly for a fork? Or am I thinking of very serious Sims? Whichever it is, Felicia doesn't seem to mind the huge hunk of cake down the throat.
As everybody comes in for a slice of free cake, EVL reminisces on the past. It really does seem so long ago since they went out on their first date. . . .
One final gathering of the Outing group, one last attempt for Felicia to get on Grant's good side. Doesn't work, but the Outing still ends at the highest possible score, Rockin'. Yay!
A little romance while waiting for the cab to come and take them home, so EVL can book their trip to the Far East destination.
Back at home, I decide to try out an interaction I haven't yet -- Impart Knowledge. EVL gets Felicia another body skill point via chatter -- not bad.
And this picture pretty much sums up the rest of the day -- skilling and reagent-making. Oh, and the phone was ringing off the hook for a while with invitations to go downtown and people wanting to speak to Felicia. Leave them alone, they're preparing for their vacation!
So yeah -- next time I play them, they're heading for Takemizu Village! This will be exciting. :D
