Yeah, this day started out a little sucky, what with me worrying about what to do for this week's Biology PowerPoint, and getting stuff ready for Statistics, and the million other fiddly little things you gotta take care of at the end of the semester. So I was grumpy. Fortunately, I was also up to the Queen's death scene in "Secundus," so I figured, "Okay, I'll write a short piece about her getting killed before math, and that'll do it for writing."

I wrote it. And then I continued into Victor revealing his Touched status. Via epic rant.

You ever have a moment where you're just caught up in the moment, riding the wave of your character's emotions and just -- the words are coming, and you're just GLOWING?

Yeah. I got that. I ended up writing, both before and after math, Victor's entire Touched rant and his epic breakdown afterwards. Almost three pages when I expected to only write a couple of paragraphs because I thought I'd be too busy with schoolwork.

FUCK YEAH. This is JUST what I needed. (That and the nice round of Tumblr and Charloft RP I got this evening. Yay playing with the Victors!)

OKAY! So, I've JUST had this idea (well...earlier when I was in the shower...don't judge me) but I need to flesh it out some and reread Secundus before I can expand on it (plus I need it to be tomorrow when I don't have to get up at 5:30 am the next day). However, just tell me one thing. If Ferdinand or Gromit (that's the dog, right?) or anyone's pet (if they have pets in Secundus) gets sick, do they take them to someone akin to a vet or would they try to cure them themselves or find a Touched in that kind of biology? And if you say no vets I'm gonna do my idea anyway cuz otherwise it won't leave me alone. You know how that is I'm sure. :)

Gromit's the dog -- haven't you ever seen Wallace & Gromit?? And yes, they do have pets in Secundus. They may not be the traditional sort of pets, but they do have pets. And actually, they have all three options. A lot of Touched will try to cure their pets themselves, but there are both normal and Touched vets around. (There is a Regular population in Secundus too, you just don't see a lot of them. So they generally go to the normal vets.)

Well~ I've heard of them of course but never went out of my way to watch anything. I was working at the theater when The Curse of the Were-Rabbit came out and because of the small TV screen the trailer was on it looked computer animated to me rather than the clay-mation that it really was, so it being the time when I had a grudge against all computer animated movies, I ignored it.

I see that Netflix has some stuff streaming (plus there's YouTube as always), so I'll check it out tonight after I put the baby to bed.

Ooooh, I see. I've liked them for ages -- Aardman's won Oscars with this pair. :) You really should watch at least one of the shorts.
