Yes, this is the day where BTTF and the Alice games intersect! In BTTF-Land, Marty has just become the World's First Human Time Traveler. He has also wrecked someone's barn, basically made that same someone shoot his own mailbox, wandered around the Courthouse Square in a daze, failed to understand that drinks made in 80s might not exist in the 50s, discovered his father and Biff basically repeat history every time Biff bullies George, discovered his father was a peeping tom, gotten hit on by his own mother, introduced a family to the concept of reruns, had his mind unsuccessfully read by Doc, and proved to said Doc that his newest invention will be a success. Busy day!

In Alice-Land, Bumby breaks into the Liddell house, does unspeakable things to Lizzy, then burns the place down and condemns Alice to over a decade of pain, both physical and mental.

Kind of puts a damper on things.

In other news, it may be the spambots on LJ that make me run away to Dreamwidth. I've had to kill at least half-a-dozen comments by them today. >.< Annoying as hell. On the plus side, NaNoing is still going well:

Not bad, huh? I just introduced Emily, and she's about to join the gang. And her introduction is looking to be kind of short, so I might actually combine it with Victoria rejoining the group. We'll see.

Oh but WAS it unsuccessful, hm? Come from a great distance (30 years), buy a subscription to the Saturday Evening Post (he looked at a paper when he got there), make a donation to the Coast Guard Youth Auxiliary (Stella thought he was a sailor).

I think it worked and it didn't occur to him at the time.

LOL, yes, very true! I believe I've mentioned that theory (it does work, just -- more in the sense of general impressions than actual thought-reading) in a fanfic of mine. "Meeting Marty," I think? :p
