Good Day Today

It was definitely summer out there today -- hot and humid. 86 here, according to Mom. I will take it -- got my fan's out and my room nice and cool. :)

Spent the day alone thanks to both Mom and Dad having to work. I did some RPing, worked some more on Chapter 5 of "Forgetting You," watched some more of Rythian's Alice playthrough (related to the former), and did something silly and created a meta ask blog for Forgotten Vows and Butterfly Boy on tumblr. I dunno, the idea of having my own personal "Dear Mun" kind of appealed to me.

Also went out for a walk -- got an application from the local drugstore, so that's a step in the right direction! Also got a card from my aunt about my graduation with an additional $100 in it, so yaaay. :) I am behind anything that keeps me solvent for the moment.

Other than that, not much to report. I should have Chapter 5 up tomorrow -- there's actually not a lot I've been changing on this one. Then again, this one already got one major overhaul thanks to one of my reviewing friends, so. . . I think we're entering the era of "not much I want to change here," which is good. Means I can get to Chapter 9 all the quicker.

Okay, back to answering tumblr tags. :)

Rythian's playthrough is the one I watched too. :D I love how he gets into the roleplaying aspect of basically everything he plays.

Do you watch any of his other stuff and/or the rest of the Yogscast, or just him because Alice?

His Alice LP is the only thing I've seen of his, though I know I should at least try some of his other stuff. I haven't really seen anything from the rest of the Yogscast. I did see one of the other guys started an Alice LP, but I lost interest when he skipped the opening cutscene. Felt wrong to me.

That'd probably be Lewis, and he seems to have lost interest after only a few episodes anyway, since he hasn't uploaded any in a very long time. Rythian did finish his, so hooray. :)

The Yogscast don't tend to do their videos as Let's Plays, as such, so that's probably why they skip cutscenes half the time. (I accidentally typed "buttscenes" the first time, lol.)

Ah, I see. And yeah, I know -- I watched this before. :) It was good.

Ahhh, that makes sense. I just -- seeing people react to the opener is often the best part of Alice LPs. :P (*snork*)

Yeah, they started doing "how to defeat the boss" videos for World of Warcraft, then started a LP-style thing for Minecraft which then snowballed into a D&D style adventure with their friends playing NPCs (in which all plot and maps are constructed without Simon and Lewis's knowledge, they are just told when to log in and play), and lately it's turned into "watch them play games badly and laugh because it's hilarious." And on the occasion that they do finish a game, it's nice to watch it for the plot. ;)

Aha! The Minecraft one sounds cool -- talk about a lot of dedication. :D And watching people play games badly is pretty much always hilarious. XD So yeah, sounds good. :)
