You'll Never Guess What I Did Today

Played Sims 2! Yes, I know, you may all faint in shock now. I've just been so caught up in the news over Sims 4 and looking at Sims-related channels and suchlike that I decided I really needed to get back into the game. Not to mention I had both BTTF decor and new Disney-inspired "trees" (seriously, the giant leaves and mushrooms I downloaded showed up in build mode under the tree category) to look at in the game. So I fired it up -- after quickly putting in place a fix to make sure the game would start. EA apparently broke the Sims 2 launcher. Meh. Still, got into my game fine, played a quick day with the EVL family fine, so let's have a short update on how they're doing:
Friday

Lorina: Desks!
Tom: How brilliant of you to note that I'm sitting at one.
Put up with the statements of the obvious, Tom, you need the social.

The theme of the day was crafting -- Felicia made a few pottery pieces, and EVL spent much of his day making things like Cleanbots and Sentrybots. I want him to have spare stock for his store -- perhaps with an eye on expansion. Been meaning to put some more stock out. . .

Tom: No, they literally put on robes and wizard hats.
The unending struggle to keep Tom's social high -- at least he has friends he can telephone.

With the girls gone at work and school, the boys are free to fulfill their deepest crafting desires!

And they give each other robots! Tom's presenting EVL with his stash of the toy robots, since EVL's got to have them in his inventory for restocking purposes. Probably not worth getting that excited over, EVL.

Tom's attempt at finishing EVL's Sentrybot for him led to a broken Sentrybot. Fortunately it was the work of a moment to repair it.

There's nothing quite like the relationship between a girl and her pet brick.

Nell interrupts EVL's reagent-making to brag about her first A+ report card. I have him cheer because, well, she did run up three flights of stairs to get to him.

Uh, girls? I know you find making snow angels fun and want-fulfilling, but -- don't you think you should change, first?

The cold hardly bothers our hardy heroines, it looks like -- snowman-making is next on the agenda!

And I get my first (I think) evil snowman out of it! Awesome. :D

Tom puts his gardening skills to good work while the girls finally get out of the cold for a bit of lighthearted swinging.

And, uh, lighthearted vomiting. . . Compost?
Okay, let's not end on that image -- instead, have a couple of pictures showing off the upgraded Wonderland Park:

I really like the addition of those more colorful leaves and mushrooms -- I think it gives the park a little extra pizzaz. :D Gotta get one of my Sims down there at some point to play around with it -- maybe once Spring finally comes for the family. . . .
Anyway! That's my adventure of the day -- beyond getting Forgotten really mad at me for a certain piece of fic I posted. . . So I'll take my leave now before he catches up with me. (BTW, link is NSFW!)
