Today Is A Day Of Getting Things

Getting things in video games, anyway. Here's a short list of what I've gotten:

-->A sound clip I've never heard before in A:MR. I was playing around in the Mysterious East, looking for my missing bottle, and I decided to jump to a certain ledge I didn't recall exploring. Cue my shock when it turned out to have a Cheshire cue, and a line I'd never heard him say before: "The author obliterated the distinction between poetry and pessimism." I don't know WHY I never went over there to trigger the cue before, but it's pretty awesome nevertheless.

-->Said missing bottle in the Mysterious East. Turns out it was at the very end of the Monastery Shelf Valley section, right before Trunk -- there's a keyhole just outside the wooden temple that I'd missed before which led to the wayward bottle. My game is now officially truly 100%! :D

-->The Equinox and the Aquamarine dragons in DragonVale! :D I'd almost resigned myself to not getting the Equinox this go-round, but I figured I might as well keep trying. And then, after using Kairos to speed up some things and clear the nursery out a bit, I decided to give it one more go -- and got the magic 24 hour wait! :D Right afterward I cleared another Sakura fail out of the Breeding Cave and decided to put Menolly and Cecil in there just for a change -- boom! 31 hours and a coming Aquamarine! :D I am most pleased. Now if only my Tree/Flower pairings would stop giving me Mosses, that would be great.

Not much else to report on besides me finally starting to nail down what spells I want Victor and Alice to have in the Forgotten Vows Verse, and subsequently what Forgotten Vows himself should know for any magic-related situations. I'm thinking of doing a library of about 22 spells for both of them, since they're decently magicked and I've got a list of 50. Might as well keep working on that during quiet moments on tumblr rp. G'night!

I can't be jealous because I got the Sakura this morning. :) I'd woken up at 5am to one of my alarms and knowing that my Sakura breeders were going to be done making me a Moss I figured I'd pop in just to start another round. It was 10 hours, which as you know could be either a Sakura or a Lava and as I didn't want to wait to be disappointed, I used 10 of my gems and, lo, Sakura!! :D Then I threw my Light and Plant dragons together to make a bit of money for lack of a better idea at 5am.

So now I just need the Aquamarine. *crosses fingers* Unfortunately I'm stuck for another 3 and a half hours because my Nursery is full. I may've used gems to speed up the incubation but I'm not gonna use them to speed up the hatching. There's still a week left of March, after all.

Rhoda for some reason ended up only winning a Silver and I threw my Hail into Cold.

I'll probably hit level 29 sometime today. I'm thinking I'll do some profit breeding and try to save up for the Sixth Island. At least until the April limiteds start appearing.

I did look up what could potentially be released next month other than the obvious Diamond (whose combo is Ice and Mine and whom if I get it I'm under orders to name Nakita after the girl who used to sit in the cubicle next to mine before they moved her). There's the Terradiem dragon that I suppose is for Earth Day and last April (I think) they released a Lunar Eclipse dragon. Now I don't know if that one will reappear but I'm like 99.99% sure the Terradiem (which needs an Air, Water and Earth element combo) will. Beyond that, I don't know what DV has up its proverbial sleeve.

My Equinox will hatch today and I'm not sure yet but think I've decided that, as long as I have the gems to do it, I think that when the limited dragons have the same incubation time as a non-limited, I'm just gonna use the gems to speed it up so I can see right away if I should be elated or disappointed or somewhere in that zone. Again, it'll make saving them for upgrades a bit of a hassle, but currently I think getting all the dragons I can is more important. Hell, I could just do gem saving and shit next year since I won't need to try for those monthly limiteds if I already have them.

In other news, congrats on finally 100%-ing A:MR!

Edit: The Equinox came with the name Gibbus. He's hanging out with Burnem in the Large Sun Habitat doing acrobatic somersaults or something... Edit x2: Apparently "gibbous" is a phase of the moon between half and full and vice versa.

Edit x3: Sakura came with the name Jabber which is my Flower's name, so I renamed it to Konohana, the tree in Okami.

Congrats! :D I can't blame you for making that decision -- sometimes, you just gotta know. It's usually not too big an expenditure and it'll be worth it to keep yourself from going crazy. And you've got a good point about the limiteds -- already you don't have to worry about getting the Equinox in the fall. :D Me, I don't have the gem pile you do, so I'm not opposed to still just waiting it out. Besides, I still want those giant habitats.

Aquamarine is still being made for me, but I've got my Equinox in the nursery now, so I can start trying for my own Sakura. Your Equinox got a pretty cool name! Dunno what I'm gonna call mine. I really like your Sakura's name too -- I wanted to name mine something from that game too! I could use Sakuya or Kamiki, I suppose. :)

Needles got me a Gold in Cold, and I've got Gana covering Lightning. Also got my first gem from Spike, so that's nice. Once I get my Aquamarine hatched he's going to have a playmate in his little cave.

Diamond and Terradiem -- sounds good. They might come out with another new dragon, since they seem to be on a roll with those. We'll just have to wait and see how it goes!

See, I'm not too interested in the Giant Habitats as of yet, so I think my hoard of gems is best spent speeding up possible limiteds if not saved for upgrades.

Sakuya was another thought I had, but then I saw the Konohana and decided to go with that.

Where as I think they look cool and help me save a bit on space, so yeah! :D Though I might speed up a limited or two. That is, if my stupid breeding pairs would quit it with the Trees and Mosses. >.<

Heh, I see. I know I wanted to name mine something from Okami -- couldn't quite remember the cherry blossom's spirit's name at first, however. Thanks for the head's up!
