*DRAGONVALING INTENSIFIES*
Apr. 10th, 2014 09:43 pmThey're doing an Easter event! From today through the end of April is the Magic Egg Event. You do certain activities like gather food or dragoncash, and you can earn Magic Eggs. Those can be turned in on a special island to earn rewards like a new decoration, a PLACEABLE Gemstone habitat, and new kinds of dragons! :D I've already updated my game to take advantage -- the new island is really cool-looking, and I'm looking forward to filling in the stained glass thingamajig. :D
Also also also -- they recently released the Bloom dragon, and as a special treat to go along with the release of the event the Lunar Eclipse dragon. I bred the Bloom earlier, and I JUST got the Lunar Eclipse. *vibrates* This is just too awesome, I swear. :D
Rest of the day wasn't quite as awesome -- school was quite frustrating due to people being idiots, but what can you do? At least there's just one more day to go. I did get a good chunk of the Epilogue to "There's Always Tomorrow" fussed with, so that's on track for release this weekend. And the weather, while not nearly as nice as yesterday temperature-wise, was at least nice and sunny, and not too cold. So I can't really complain there. Honestly, it wasn't really a bad day -- just DragonVale and watching the Nostalgic Critic take on Foodfight (CHRISTOPHER LLOYD WHY DO YOU DO THESE PROJECTS YOU CANNOT NEED A PAYCHECK THAT BADLY) were the awesome highlights.
Okay, I gotta get some final tags done, then turn in my first batch of Magic Eggs and get ready for bed. This weekend promises to be fun just from new dragons. :D Sleep tight, everyone!

Date: 2014-04-11 12:18 pm (UTC)So Thor won a Silver and I threw Yiruma into Water.
I did finally successfully breed a Sandstorm, however my nursery is full and so I'm stuck for another couple of hours 'til something gets cleared. At least Sandstorm is only 2 hours so when my profit breeders are done making the Luminous I won't have to be stuck again for too long before I can get the egg into the Nursery. They need to release something like the Hibernation Cave but for eggs to hold them when the Nursery is full.
I bought the cheaper small Earth Habitat to stick the Sandstorm in for safe keeping, though that maxed out my current Habitat limit (40). It should be done being built by the time the Sandstorm is ready to be hatched.
My Ruin came with the name Crystal, which as you know is my Hail dragon's name. I renamed him Bane. ^^
Once the Sandstorm is out I'll pair Air and Dark so I can fill in the last space on the Air/Cold Island and be able to post pictures later/tomorrow. Then I can try for the Lapis. There's a chance I may get one or more of the Olympus dragons doing that...I may have to pair the Sandstorm or Bloom with someone on the Planteer Island just to sell the Habitat and get the Olympus one if that's the case. I don't really want to leave anyone in the Hibernation Cave for an extended period of time if I can help it.
I'm also good and ready if/when the Terradiem goes live. And, actually, if I'm looking right, it can go on my Plant/Water Island and not take a negative hit. I think. We'll see. If that's the case, that's good because even with using the Light and Dark hybrids I'll still be left with one space open.
That's about it for now. I do have a crapton of treats that I won't have to use for a while so maybe I'll get some my guys closer to 15 just because. Help build up the shrines at least.
Edit: Sandstorm came with the name Fang, which is my Earth's name. For lack of anything better I named him Dusty. I leveled him up all the way to 15, paired him with Thor and...it looks like I got the Lapis on the first try. ^^' I'm also getting a Miasma from my Dark+Air pairing and I accidentally leveled Helen to 16 and used up most of those treats. Heh, oops...

Date: 2014-04-11 04:27 pm (UTC)I got a Silver from Carnival and Kamiki's taking on Plant (I have Mardi to run the Cherry Road race, since he's all the appropriate elements too.)
Congratulations on the Sandstorm! XD LOL, Dusty is the name of my Sand dragon. We keep getting the same/similar names. And w000, that would be awesome! Considering the ease that we got the Bloom and Lunar Eclipse dragons, I wonder if the difficulty level was lifted a bit for the current event when it comes to dragon breeding. (I'm probably talking out my ass though and we just got lucky. My Spring attempts aren't going particularly well. . .)
My future Ruin dragon is either going to be Insidious or Menacing, based on what will fit. I've also hatched my Bloom -- I named it Bunny, because I wanted something related to Easter.
Olympus dragons are cool and you should try for one once you find the space for it. :P
And I imagine Terradiems wouldn't have a problem there, no. I'm looking forward to seeing them come out! Dragons dragons dragons~
I broke the 1 mill treat mark myself. I'm shocked to have enough food to level dragons for once.

Date: 2014-04-12 02:00 am (UTC)"Goes away" is a relative term, given that one of the prizes you can win if you collect enough eggs IS THE ISLAND ITSELF.
Yeah. Get enough eggs and it apparently becomes a permanent part of the park. :D
