Clouds Chased Me All Day

I thought it was supposed to be sunny, but it only really got that way this afternoon -- and even then not very much. :( Windy as hell too. But I can't complain about the temperature -- a touch nippy at home, but 66 inland; probably closer to 70 at the best part of the day. First day I've been able to forgo wearing my huge winter coat! :D And I ended up getting an earlier bus than normal (was in time to catch the 51 instead of my usual 54), so I got in a short walk around Kennedy Plaza, which was nice. At least I got to enjoy a little nice weather.

Not too much else to report on at the moment. I'm working on "In the Land of the Dead," doing some editing and rewriting of the earlier chapters before moving on to finish the story and get it ready for posting. After that I'm thinking "Triskaidekaphobia," vignettes about Victor's time as Thirteen, possibly interspersed with the early chapters of "Remembering You." It feels good to go back to this verse -- while I love BTTF, my brain's been Valice-crazy lately.

DragonVale news: I have hatched my Lunar Eclipse, which I have named (perhaps a touch meanly) Rotunda. She lives in the Moon Habitat, and my Equinox, Zenith, now lives in the Sun. That fills those up -- and with my Seasonal also filled, hopefully that means lots of cash. Egg collecting continues -- I'm working on the first of the Ovalith dragons right now. I've also got my Seventh Island, which I will be clearing much more gradually than is my wont. Reason? You can get two eggs per obstacle cleared -- but you can only earn 10 eggs a day max from that. So today I cleared five bushes, and tomorrow I'll probably clear a few small trees and rocks. I did start the process for the two huge boulder piles, but those take FOUR DAYS to clear, so I don't think I'm in any danger there.

And now it's time to start working on more RP stuff. I will see you all tomorrow!

I heard there was an actual lunar eclipse last night so that explains the dragon. :p It's raining here, plus I wasn't gonna get up early to see it, but Ed saw part of it before the clouds rolled in.

Okay, so Fang won a Gold and I threw Geoff (my Mine) into Metal.

The Palladium came with the name Flint. I missed out on a goal reward gem because my phone crashed before I could share to Facebook, but I did get the one for Twitter.

I got the Gemstone Habitat (which, I think, does not count towards the Habitat limit because when I leveled to 31 I got +1 Habitats and even with the Gemstone there I can still have another) and for lack of anywhere better I just shoved it onto the Plant/Water Island. My Put-It-Here-Until-You-Find-A-Place-For-It Island is full so I'm gonna need that Seventh Island soon.

Making all those treats I did get all my low-level dragons to 11, though I guess my dragon count isn't enough to up any of the Shrines to the Silver stage yet. Let's see for Level 10 Dragons...Earth 21/50, Fire 24/50, Air 19/50, Water: 15/50, Metal 14/50, Cold 19/50, Plant 25/50. Current dragon count is...*checks spreadsheet* 102 individuals counting Kairos. 107 counting the Planeteers.

So my plan right now (which could change on a whim) is profit breed. I have Tropius and Lumen making Meadow and Luminous dragons in the EBI and Lark and Evelia making Meadow and Luminous dragons in the Breeding Cave. When the eggs reset tonight I'll use some of the cash to make treats to collect the 40 one can get from that and I'll save the rest for the Seventh Island. I'm still not sure I'll get all six prizes, but I'll be happy with at least one Ovalith dragon. Here's hoping.

Yup! Blood-red moon and everything. I didn't see it at all due to having to go to bed early. Ah well, there will be other chances.

Raths got a Gold, and Bryllyg is currently competing in Air.

One of my Light/Metal dragons is a Flint too! The Radiant I believe. . . *checks* Yup! :) Too bad about the gem, though. *patpat*

Yup, it's a nice little bonus habitat. :) Mine's on my Fire/Light island, but that's partially because I ran out of room on my Plant/Water Stick It Here Island. XD Good thing I've got my Seventh Island ready for the clearing! Took out five small trees for the eggs today.

Ah, I see. I haven't even built all the shrines yet -- I'll get on that later, once I've rebuilt my monetary reserves a bit. I think my highest number of dragons at 10 is 30/50 for Plant. I just hit the 100 unique kinds of dragons -- I don't know how many individuals I have with my few repeats (don't have my list on me).

Profit breeding for the win! I've seen some stuff that suggests that you CAN'T get the Lost Island without paying, sadly. :( Hopefully that's not the case, as some extra space would be much appreciated. I'm pretty certain I'll get at least one of the Ovalith dragons myself. Though I may go out searching for extra DragonVale friends on GameCenter for more eggs (caps at 20, so I just need two more).

*snerk* So a guy I work with overheard me telling my Diamond Dragon's namesake about the Easter event (and was real disappointed that the prizes weren't real) so I told him about the game and Nakita mentioned me naming the Diamond after her and he said I should name the July Gemstone after him (he's one of the Phils I work with) and that it should be all alone by itself were no one visits. I told him that now I can do that since I got the Gemstone Habitat, lol. He just has to wait until July.

*snork* I see. Good thing you've got the Gemstone habitat, then! XD At this rate you're going to have all of your gemstone dragons named after coworkers. :P

Ooh, I hope not. It'll be very strange, lol. And at least the Garnet, Jet, Lapis and Amethyst have their own name, heheh.
