All My Weekends Are Lazy

Seriously, at some point I've really got to get into the swing of actually DOING things on my weekends off. Things that are not DragonVale or Hearthstone. Or TV Tropes. *shakehead* Someday, someday. . .

I suppose I shouldn't complain too much, though. Weekends are made for being lazy, right? And I do manage to keep up on at least some of my tags. Though I should get more into doing Dreamwidth stuff again. Tumblr's kind of my main thing these days, but I do enjoy memes on DW -- and I'm still getting that wedding thing under control for DG-Victor and Alice. Need to keep that business going.

Anyway -- not much to say because of the lazy. And I do have some things to attend to tag-wise, so later!

Yeah, definitely time for a new phone. It reset itself again when I was trying to collect the Party Hats. Ed bought a Galaxy S4 (same phone as his) off eBay and we'll activate it on my line when it gets here. We have to do it that way (buy a phone and then activate it rather than a straight upgrade) because we still have the unlimited data plan from Verizon and if we did a regular upgrade we'll lose it. I need unlimited data with all the YouTube/Netflix/Hulu streaming I do. I flat-out refuse to not have it.

Hydro won a Gold and I threw Helen into Fire. I don't think it registered whatever I did last night (but luckily I got the 50 eggs from Hydro's win) because there was no one in the Colosseum this morning. On a good note, at least now it'll be done in the morning rather than my having to stay up 'til 10 to start another at night.

I got overzealous and started collecting DC before the eggs reset (and they tease you by still saying that more eggs will be hidden in 24 hours), so I'm starting with the Hats, then the clearing, then the treats and last will be the Habitats. My egg total right now is 810, which will translate to 162 gems. Adding that to my current 376 and that's 538. It's supposed to be 818 but those last two collections are refusing to spawn. There's still three hours left as of this writing, so hopefully they'll pop up. It's only like one more gem, but it's the principle of the thing! Edit: Up to 814 with a little over an hour and a half left...here's hoping!

Anyways, I kind of want to upgrade the side of the Gemstone Island that Raths is on because apparently Garnet Dragons swim (saw it on one of the parks on my friend's list) and if that side is upgrade twice a pond appears (on the other side, too) but another part of me wants to hang onto the gems for a little while longer. I really just want to upgrade all four sides at once and according to the Wiki that's a total of 300 gems; I want to enjoy my large number for a bit, heh.

I moved the Storage Tower, Fountain of Youth and the Hibernation Cave to the Seventh Island where my Dark Dragon and his boost are. I also stored the Egg of Burcadia and the Ovalith Egg Pedastle(sp?) in the Tower because looking at them was making me annoyed, lol. This Event really brought out the worst in me, haha.

I want to give Borogoves a friend, so I thought I might try for an Ooze (Dark+Water) because I just really want to name it Cthulu, lol. Though if I get an Abyss that's okay, too. I can't do anything until one set of profit breeders are done but that's only four hours from now. I'll keep profit breeding with the others also. I'll need the money if Terra and Ceres need to be leveled up for the Emerald on Thursday since they're both only at 11.

That's about it. Let's see how many more times my phone is going to reset itself today. *glares at it*

I'll reply to the rest of the comment later -- for now TURN IN THE EGGS! They apparently do not count unless they've been turned in at the Vernal Glass! (I acknowledge that you might have already seen this via DragonVale's FB account, but just in case!)

Yaay, I saved your gems :D Funny, I think I might have missed out on one myself last night, though -- built the Metal Shrine and didn't get a goal pop-up. O.o Ah well.

*highfive* I actually had some bleedover from when I got the second Ovalith dragon, so my final count was 957 eggs, for 192 gems! And yes, I was thrilled to see the Vernal Glass as a gift -- if I couldn't have the island itself, I at least wanted that decoration! Got my extra gem and put it at the base of Kairos's perch. :D

I knooow -- surprised that guy went for the entire month! *shrug*

Okay, as for the rest of your original comment: glad you're getting a new phone -- those crashes/resets sound like the biggest pains in the ass ever. >.< And huh, weird how it won't let you do straight upgrades. Ah well, at least you have a system worked out. Hope you get your new phone soon!

Terra won a Silver, got Litebrite in Fire. And that's weird -- I wonder if the server or something had a glitch last night? It would explain why I didn't get the Metal Shrine award pop-up. Hmmm.

I'm glad you got all your eggs so that you could get your nice chunk of gems. Again, excellent consolation prize for those of us who can't/won't spend money on the game. (And who knows, maybe there'll be another chance to get an extra island.)

Heh, I hear you -- I'm actually holding off on getting the Giant Light habitat for a bit. Maybe when I start breeding Dark dragons and have to move a few guys around so the Water/Dark hybrids don't take a nasty hit. I'm saving upgrading the Gemstone Island for last since I don't consider it a high priority (I have space for all the ones I can get currently). All swimmers can go in the cave or on top.

The Ovalith Egg Pedestal's on the Tourist Trap. (And don't worry, I think it brought out the worst in a lot of people. Lots of complaining about having to pay to get the island.

*snork* Cool. My Solar Eclipse will enter the nursery in about a hour (so when I get home from my bus ride) -- I might try for another Treasure dragon to see if I can fill out all my epic habitats. Or a Rainbow. Orville and Fafnir are making a Crystal. >.< I want the Lapis, darn you two! I do appreciate the Olympus dragons, but come on!

Well, Verizon phased out the unlimited data plans a few years ago. Mine was grandfathered in but if you upgrade you're forced to take an X-amount-of-gigs of data plan and there is no plan that they have that can accomodate how much data I use. Granted I could, you know, not stream so much but no freaking way. I have the unlimited data, I'm going to use it, dammit.

In going for an Ooze I got an Abyss and my Solar Eclipse should hatch tonight.

Funny I've gone on Blip and YouTube all the rest of today and it's not done the crashing thing (Edit: Son of a-- when I say that it crashes while watching an LP video my friend did on YouTube...luckily his videos are only like 5 minutes long). It only did it when I was trying to stream "The Five Doctors" from a website, so I just gave up on trying to watch it. I'll still be glad for a new phone. Especially since I think the Watch ABC app will be compatible with it and I can watch Agents of SHIELD whenever I want without having to download them. :p

Heh -- that figures. As soon as you praise it for not crashing, it crashes. Bleeeh. But yeah, that phone really sounds like it needs to go. Fingers crossed the new one arrives with speed so the switch can go off!
