DragonVale Trolling Me

crossover_chickBoth in irritating and cool ways. The irritating way was not connecting this morning until my last try just before I went out the door -- have no idea what the problem was, but it really got my goat. >( The cool way, however, came right after I put the Lapis egg in my nursery:
Me: Okay, who do I do next. . . Hmmm. I still need a Rainbow or Double Rainbow. Maybe if I pair Cecil and Phoenix (my Iceberg and Blazing). . .oh, no, wait! Let's try Cecil and Attar (my Rose)! Cold, Water, Plant, Fire, Air -- that's gotta improve the odds, right?
Cecil and Attar: 32-hour breed time!
Me: . . .Again? What? What do you guys make that takes the same amount of time as a Lapis?
DragonVale: Weren't you looking for a Snowy Olympus?
Me: . . .Before I filled up that habitat, DragonVale.
So yeah, I'm getting one of the Snowy Olympus tiers -- won't know which until I get the egg. I could just stick it in the Hibernation Cave, but I think instead I'm gonna build a second Olympus habitat and go two and two. Zeus and Hera are likely to fight anyway if I keep them in the same habitat. ;)
I also hatched my Solar Eclipse -- he came with the name Nimbus, one of the meanings of which is that halo you sometimes see around the sun, so I deemed it appropriate. With my other latest acquistions, I have just 71 dragons left to get! A good majority being Dark hybrids, so I might start on that this weekend. You can see pictures of my dragons, plus some tweaks to my park, here, here, and here.
I also experienced triumph in Hearthstone today -- I won two games in a row against regular opponents! Used Valeera to get her some experience -- she's got some good cards. I've realized that my playstyle centers currently around getting as much damage done to the opponent as early as I can. I tend to falter as soon as my opponent starts pulling out the good Taunt cards. Still, smacked down a Druid and a Mage today, unlocked some more cards, and got some more gold for completing two quests (win 3 times, deal 100 damage to opponents). Also got a special mount, but as I don't play World of Warcraft. . . *shrug* I might try making my own deck this weekend, instead of relying on the basic decks so much.
Not much else to say, beyond it's completely miserable and it's not supposed to improve until Friday at the soonest. I really do hate this weather. May, you'd better make up for how cruddy April's been. As it is, I've got tumblr to catch up on, so later!

Date: 2014-05-01 12:19 pm (UTC)Trace won a Gold and I threw Tellurian into Air. I figure some of the limited should have a shot, lol.
Current DragonCash total is over 127mil and I set a timer for when the Diamond Dragon leaves the Market since I'm figuring that's when the Emerald will go live and I want to maximize my chances. I'm leaving the EBI empty for that reason since I don't want to risk breeding something that will take more than 4 hours.
Kairos is ready to be used but I'm saving him just in case Ceres and Terra decide to make another Crystal or a Sun/Moon, Rainbow or Double Rainbow. Well, at least the first time. Eek...I hope I haven't jinxed myself...

Date: 2014-05-01 06:32 pm (UTC)Mine's at 138,700,050 right now -- Emerald dragon just went live recently, so I threw Simon and Quartz together. First attempt looks like a Storm dragon. My EBI is currently taken up by those making my Snowy Olympus, so I won't get a chance to put the Emerald breeders on there until later tonight.
My Kairos is ready to be used too, but I'll probably save him for extra food-making or something this weekend. We'll see!
