Another Saturday Housesitting

crossover_chickThis is actually my second time here today -- Mom was interviewing another candidate for helping her out with her job, so I came over for a hour earlier. Now I'm here for however long the owners are out. Got my devices, and I'm caught up on Helloween, so can't complain.
I also watched one of the episodes of MLP:FIM I've been missing -- "Inspiration Manifestation." Interesting episode -- and while I can understand people calling Spike kind of dumb in this episode (which he was), let's face it -- our favorite little dragon NEVER thinks clearly around his crush. I'll probably watch the Equestria Games episode tomorrow at some point, and then do the final two-parter next weekend. Gosh, I used to be so pumped for this show, and now I'm dragging my feet actually finishing a season. . . I just haven't liked things as much this go-round, I'm sorry to say.
On the iPad side of life, no luck getting an out-of-season Gemstone yet. Still got about a day or so, though, so I'll keep trying. I did better on the Hearthstone side of things -- three matches with Anduin, with one loss and two wins. And the one loss was to another Anduin. XD Just knew how to handle his cards better than me. I still think he's an amazing character when it comes to cards -- so much good stuff that's so cheap! :D I definitely have to level him up more.
On the writing side, finished off another chunk of "In The Land of the Dead," which is nice. I've decided to alternate that with edits on "Forgetting You" so I can have updates of something while I work. It may not be completely new, but at least it's something. On that front, the updated Chapter 1 of FoY is up on my website, along with the landing page for the story -- see it here.

Date: 2014-05-18 03:47 am (UTC)And I didn't realize I didn't take Smelt out of his event until like noon. He won a Silver and since I was trying to speed saddle I just threw Dusty (Sandstorm) into Air. He won a Gold an I threw Blinky (my Blue Fire) into Cold.
I did manage a Pearl! Still trying for a Ruby and I'm a little bit tempted to spend some gems so I can try for something else before they make them go away. I'm going to wait at least until tomorrow because I'm making food to level up whomever I'm going to breed next. I'm thinking Turquoise for December and maybe if I manage the Ruby I'll try for August's Peridot so that would be two months I can skip if I get them.
The Dungeon Dragon came with the name Singe, which since it's Dark/Fire makes kind of sense. But I'm weird and am a dork as we've proved before, so I named him ZulFarrak, after Zul'Farrak, the instance (read: dungeon) that we used to run all the time in the original World of War
crackcraft game. Well, one of them. It's the first one that came to mind. I had to remove the ' because otherwise it wouldn't fit.Since I'm making lots of food, my DC is down to 201,483,250 and my gems is 248.
Edit: Got an Orchid! Came with the name Curly and
I can't find anything better so I'm keeping it.No, wait...it's purple, so I named it Lilac. :)Edit x2: I managed a Turquoise!

Congrats on the Pearl! :D I've managed to get the Garnet I was after, which was the main thing I wanted. Still gonna try for the Turquoise with Errol and Glados, but at least I got one.
LOL, I see. I'm not sure what I'm going to name mine when I finally get one.
Silliness on my part -- it took until a half-hour before the Sprout hatched for me to realize I'd forgotten to build the Larger Seasonal habitat. XD Fortunately I was able to just put him in the Hibernation Cave until it was ready. Named him Clonus, and he and his brethren are currently on the Earth/Metal island since that's the only place they'd fit.
DC is at 318,147,380 and gems at 219. I figure I'll increase my buffer a little more, then start the process of summoning the Eighth Island.
