Summer Summer Summer

Another gorgeous day out there -- little cooler than yesterday, but still 73, so I'm quite satisfied. Especially since it's supposed to rain the next two days, meh. Ah well, we got a good run of weather, so I'm pretty happy regardless. :D
I've also got some new "summery" clothes -- since shorts aren't really professional, Mom's given me a couple of her skirts (more or less on loan until she fits them again). Of course, they required something appropriate in the shoe department, so that led to us going up to Marshall's and getting me some sandals. We got a nice pair for 24 bucks -- they're comfy, beige enough to go with most things, and they've got butterflies all over them which makes me think of Victor and Alice. XD And it didn't take us long to find them, so that was nice.
Speaking of butterflies, Butterfly dragon has hatched, and has been named Alice, as promised. I also have a Dodo cooking in the nursery, so I'll be able to add my Earth/Air opposites to the Opposites island soon. Still working on the Current to go with my Plasma, and this month's gemstone, the Pearl. Which I have to name after my friend Gigs, since she named her Turquoise after me. :) That'll live up on the top of the Gemstone Island with my Emerald and Ovalith, since that has the big pond where it can swim and plenty of room to fly.
Got a good chunk written on "In the Land of the Dead" today -- hooray productivity. I also got a surprising amount done with tags, despite feeling kind of rushed at times in my attempt to keep up. And -- I won two in a row with Thrall's custom deck! Finally getting some traction with that guy! :D Granted, one was a concede, but it was pretty clear the guy/gal quit because he/she didn't have much to work with. Feels good to get something done with that character. Now I gotta start leveling up the ones who remain. . .
Right now, though, I gotta catch up on my dash and have my dessert. Later!

Date: 2014-06-04 12:44 pm (UTC)I made a "What if?" page in my spreadsheet. What if I used all Giant Habitats. I got the Habitat count down to 47, but I just don't want to spend the gems. Again, maybe once I have every dragon in the game, then I'll redecorate one more time and use Giants because hopefully I'll have a lot of gems stored by then and it won't matter because everything will have been upgraded and suchlike.
I switched Kwame and Linka's Habitats on the Planeteer Island for no other reason but to make the paths look nicer in my mind. I need to put up some decorations because without the Treat Farms all that empty green space just bothers me, lol. I have no paths going to the Dragonsai or the Hibernation Cave for two reasons: a) they don't look the way I want them to and 2) I dunno if hibernating dragons want to be leered at while they're sleeping, lol. I kind of wish the game gave you fences. And benches. Benches would be cool.
Anyways...the Rainbow's finally in the Nursery. I did use a gem last night to get it out of the EBC because it was 10:00 and I wanted to go to sleep. Now I'm getting either a Watch or an Ember; I'd prefer the former as it's one I don't have. I'll find out at about noon. If it is, it can live with the Nightshade for now. I need to build another Large Dark...there, done. Even if it's not a Watch, I'll still need it when I start breeding more Dark hybrids. I'll sell that small one once it's done being built.
I bought the La Reine De Pearls decoration because, well, pearl is my birthstone, lol. I may put it on the Fire/Water Island when I start moving things.
I think that's about it. I'll be back later to say if it was a Watch or an Ember.

Edit: It was a Watch, so yay! Also...glyphs part one and the last two. I scrawled a few notes in red pen, so hopefully you can read my chicken scratch, lol. If you like them, I can do them bigger for your site. Or tell me whatever needs to be changed (like the few I wasn't sure on). :)

Date: 2014-06-05 01:37 am (UTC)"Once I have every dragon in the game" -- you even think that's possible, with the way Backflip's been releasing new ones? But I can see where you're coming from with the gems. It's hard to convince yourself to spend them, isn't it?
Heh, I hear you on that. I've been working on decorating my Opposites Island a bit -- got the top half, with the Sun and Moon habitats, looking rather nice if I do say so. I also hatched my Dodo today, so he and Orville are now on the island. Now I have to get my Current, breed a Malachite and an Ironwood, and then start on the Light/Dark Opposites. And I totally agree with you -- fences and benches would be awesome. :D
*nodnod* Cool -- glad the other one was indeed a Watch! They're cool-looking dragons -- mine is named Vimes. XD And I bought that last month, during the Gemstone weekend. It's pretty, isn't it? :)

As for the glyphs -- "Mind to Mind" and "Reaper's Speech" look really good. For the others -- you can always safely assume "box" means "square" for glyphs -- I didn't want to make them too complicated. And you can generally assume that if I don't specify curvy for the radiating lines, I want them straight. I also generally mean "radiating" as in "circle or half-circle shape" -- if you want to give me a little bit, I can clear up the descriptions and make it more obvious what I want for some of the trickier ones. ^^;

Date: 2014-06-05 01:55 am (UTC)The Watch came with the name Rex. Since the Wiki says it's referencing a guard dog and Rex is a good name for a dog, I kept it. Now I'm getting either a Fungus or another Luminous, so fingers crossed for a Fungus! ...that doesn't sound right, lol. It'll hit the nursery by the time I come back tomorrow morning.
I had to Google the scroll shape, lol. Because my first thought was a rolled up one and I needed the right shape for an open one. Also, the image reference I used faced to the left. I had to flip it in paint to make it face to the right because I'm right-handed and trying to draw things that face left are tough for me (hence why all of my unicorn drawings face to the right...and if any of them face left, they're drawn facing right and then flipped).
Yeah, no rush. Gives me something to do at lunch or when there's a lull. :)

Date: 2014-06-05 02:31 am (UTC)Aww, that's cute. Mine was Law originally, which also fits very well. XD Fingers crossed for the Fungus! . . .That does sound weird. :P But they're cute dragons.
My first thought was a rolled-up one too, but I much prefer your open one. And LOL, that's fine -- it still looks great. I think I like that one the best. :D
Okay then! I'll try to get to that as soon as I can -- at least this weekend.
