Riding The Ragged Edge of Disaster

crossover_chickOkay, not really, but I did find myself cutting it close with getting places today. I blame RP tags that came in just at the end of my free time for the most part. Butterfly Boy's been chatting pretty steadily with a few friends, and Forgotten Vows has not only the usual conversational tags, but also a fight thread with a villainous version of a pal, Lizzie Williams. And he is DRINKING IT UP, let me tell you. It's almost scary how excited he is to get to use his Wonderland weapons (fight's taking place in Wonderland) and beat shit up. Earning your nickname of "the violent one" buddy!
DragonVale news includes Backflip deciding to release some of the limited Winter dragons over this weekend -- the notice said it was because the Southern Hemisphere was moving into winter. So, uh, thanks Moose? XD I've got my breeding pairs trying out for the three I don't have -- Mistletoe, Gift, and Reindeer. I'm getting one of the new hybrids, the Arctic, out of my initial efforts, so that's good. I'm really hoping for the Gift, since that can either live on Plant/Lightning or round out the Cold habitat on the Opposites Island. I'll decide if I get it. Still need to do my rearranging -- though I've discovered that all I really need to do is shift everybody over one island. XD Convenient! I'll probably get to that either tomorrow or Saturday.
Hearthstone -- only one game today, a loss as Valeera to a Rexxar. *shrug* I'll try again tomorrow. Gotta start leveling up my own Rexxar too, honestly. . .
Anyway -- gotta finish off my tags and suchlike before heading to bed. G'night all, sleep tight!

The Fungus came with the name Nullex and naturally the notice you get when you first hatch it says "There's a Fungus among us", which made me giggle, lol. Now, under normal circumstances I'd keep the name because it sounded cool, however...I was in an insanely dorkily weird mood and renamed him. The whole "There's a Fungus among us" thing for some reason reminds me of the line "The chalice of the palace has the brew that is true" even though I don't think they're even remotely related to one another (*Google!* Yeah, Terry Noland recorded in 1958 the rock'n'roll song "There Was A Fungus Among Us" and at the time it was understood as a children's taunt. And the "chalice" thing comes from a 1950s music movie The Court Jester and the exchange is hilarious. So I named him Chalice. ^^v
No luck thus far on either the Mistletoe or the Reindeer so I'm gonna keep trying there. The less I have to try for in winter, the better. I actually hope they'll do a re-release of whatever shows up in November (and in hindsight I should've tried for a Topaz when they brought back all the Gemstones) so I don't have to be trying for things while I'm in Florida, but whatever. I'll deal. Something to do while waiting in line, lol (though since we're going in the off-season hopefully there won't be many lines).
The Gift is in the Nursery and will hatch around noonish, so I'll be back later with its name. Edit: Scratch that...Kairos sped it up, lol. It came with the name Woody but the way it looks as an adult led me to name him Kris, lol.

LOL, yeah, it's a cute little rhyme -- and I remember that movie! I watched it ages ago and found it amusing enough. Don't think I've ever heard the song, though. Still, I approve of the renaming, though I agree the original name is pretty cool. Hopefully you'll get another dragon with it!
No luck with any of the winter dragons on my end -- though my Arctic is now safely in the Nursery. They seem to be doing a fair amount of re-release weekends, so you never know. And LOL, yes -- though now I don't know whether I should hope for very few lines, or lots of them so you can catch up on your dragons. XD
Woody -- seems a bit more appropriate for the Mistletoe. :P Kris makes much more sense, yus. I'm not sure what I'll name mine yet, though I'm sure it'll be Santa-related.
