Relatively Quiet Father's Day

crossover_chickGot Dad a nice card and a party cup with the Patriots logo -- a stand-in for his real gift, which won't be arriving until sometime this upcoming week, sadly. He seemed happy enough with everything. :) Certainly a better Father's Day than my Victors are having on Tumblr, considering the closest people in their lives have dead parents and they don't get on well with theirs. Though Forgotten Vows has been reunited with an adorable ghost girl he used to know, so that's nice.
Woke up surprisingly early this morning for having gone to bed around 2 A.M. Eventually stopped trying to get back to sleep and instead played early DragonVale and Hearthstone. My Rainbow is hatched, and has the name Boone; still no luck with Kite or Pearl dragons. Meeeh. But I've got my Epics island looking a bit nicer, and selling the fails is making me very rich indeed. I'll just keep trying.
As for Hearthstone, kind of a weird day -- I lost my final game in the Arena, getting some dust (used to craft/improve cards) and a pack of cards out of it. I also played some of my custom decks -- Anduin got a concede early from a Malfurion, which kind of annoyed me. I didn't even get a chance to play any good cards! I promptly tried again and got my ass kicked -- but fairly. Got creamed when I tried another go as Jaina, but I blame that partially on getting nothing but high-mana cards for my first few turns, which left me open for way too long. I did win one legit as Anduin, though my opponent conceded before I could finish her off. Kind of sad, really -- I was playing against Jaina, and as an early move she polymorphed one of my guys into a sheep. I proceeded to use said sheep to chip away at her health -- I'd hoped to use it to land the finishing blow. XD Ah well, the wins fulfilled a quest, so I'm doing good.
Not much else to say right now -- my parents are going to Block Island for the next five days tomorrow morning, so I have the house to myself from now until Friday. :D Tomorrow I plan to celebrate by watching How To Train Your Dragon over dinner -- the sequel's out, so might as well refresh my memory on the original, right? :D As it is right now, though, I have a few replies to tend to, so later!
