Parents Outta The House

crossover_chickThey're off for five days on Block Island, meaning I have the pad to myself! And already I'm going to be naughty -- I'm ditching class tomorrow in favor of going to see How To Train Your Dragon 2 at the IMAX in Providence Place. To be fair, there is a reason for this -- my teacher is actually going to be out all day at a training class tomorrow, and while she left us some work to do, I've already finished all of it. I'm, ah, the fastest in the class when it comes to this stuff. ^^; So I figured I'm allowed the break given the circumstances. Besides, I expect things to get hectic once my parents return -- Mom's employer's got a show coming up, meaning I'll be pulling some major babysitting duty. . .
To prep myself for the experience, rewatched the first movie today. I haven't seen it in a long while -- forgotten how much I liked it. :) Interestingly, Forgotten Vows has just been followed by Toothless on tumblr -- weird coincidences ahoy! XD But I'll always take more dragons in my sweetie's life. :) Been decent on the tagging front, though fortunately not too busy as to exhaust me. I'll probably wrap things up in a few so I can just queue a couple of responses for tomorrow while I'm out. Though I do feel a bit bad that I never did do my spells for this Monday. . .ah well. Next Monday.
Not much else to report -- nothing particularly new from DragonVale, and Hearthstone was a case of getting my ass kicked twice. Though the second one dragged it out waaaaaaaay too long. She (or he, but they were using Jaina) had lethal for ages, and refused to use it! I ended up killing the minion whose attack she was leveling, which finally put an end to the thing. *shakehead* I hate it when they draw the kill out for no good reason. *grumble* Maybe I'll do better tomorrow. For now, though, I have things to get to before bed. G'night all!

Date: 2014-06-17 12:31 pm (UTC)I have an Ironwood and a Spark in my Nursery and a Wraith incubating (I was trying for a Wisp with the latter, but hey...one I don't have yet, lol). The former two will hatch before I leave work today, so I'll be back later with names.
I wonder if the Bearded will disappear when the Solstice gets released...I was actually considering just outright buying the Bearded since it's only 150 gems (heh...only). I guess I'll decide when they announce Last Call and if I haven't gotten one by then.
I still have an hour and a half before the Bronze will hit the Nursery and I pulled Ma-Ti's small Plant Habitat out of storage for the Ironwood to live in.
I don't want to say how many times I've redone my spreadsheet, lol. It seems like the moment I have it looking good, then I notice that I've derped and put the Paper Dragon on Fire Island where its Cold element will take a negative hit and I have to do it all over again. I'm glad I have it in Excel where all I have to do is copy and paste and drag and drop, hahah. And the undo button...can't forget the undo button. :p

Ironwood Edit: Came with the name "Hoardus", which sounded...I dunno...mean. :p I renamed it to Ysterhout, which is the Afrikaans name for the ironwood tree. Just don't ask me to pronounce it, lol. Google won't give it to me. ^^v
Other Edit: The Last Call is for the Butterfly, not the Bearded, so whew. Solstice is live. The combo is Blazing + Earth element. When the Wraith is out of my EBI I'm gonna pair Boone and Fang and see if maybe I can get a Dodo while I'm at it.
Spark Edit: Came with my Sonic's name of Volt. I couldn't figure out what to rename him so I looked through the pregenerated names and picked Tesla.

XD Interesting new one you picked -- and no, I won't ask you to pronounce it. :P And hey, I think we have the same names for our Spark! XD Tesla's awesome though, soooo. . . And congrats on your upcoming Dodo!
I'm glad the Bearded hasn't gone away yet -- good luck with your continuing breeding efforts! And thanks for the tip on how to get a Solstice. I might start alternating that with my other tries. (Still not getting a Pearl or a Kite. This is maddening. >.<)
LOL, I see. Yes, hooray for drag and drop and all of that. And kudos to your dedication to all of this. You truly are a dragon master. (Or mistress, I suppose.)
